AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT – 555 COLLINS STREET | When it comes to lighting that elevates Melbourne’s spaces with purpose, #NDYLIGHT had the privilege of bringing a fresh glow to 555 Collins Street. Receiving a Commendation Award in Lighting Design at the 2024 IESANZ VIC Lighting Society Awards makes it all the more rewarding. Located on the bustling corner of King and Collins Streets, 555 Collins connects the Paris end to the Docklands with style. Our team designed lighting that transforms the atmosphere - from high-end, tenant-focused facilities to the new Hub Australia co-working spaces, creating a space that feels as dynamic and inviting as the city around it. With premium amenities the building offers areas for connection and collaboration. Thank you to Charter Hall, Armitage Jones, Lendlease and the architectural and interior design teams at Cox Architecture – working together on a project like this is something special. We love seeing this project light up the city from within – and are thrilled for the recognition. AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT – CASSELDEN | Casselden’s foyer has a fresh new look - and for the second time, #NDYLIGHT was invited to deliver a reimagined lighting experience for this ‘90s Melbourne landmark. Our design for this transformation recently earned a Commendation Award in Lighting Design at the 2024 IESANZ VIC Lighting Society Awards. The revitalised foyer features kinetic coloured light elements as the centrepiece of the space, spanning the impressive, coffered ceiling and spilling out into the main forecourt. This creates a bold entry that draws the eye from outside and invites visitors into something extraordinary. Creating this renewed space was a collaborative effort with ISPT, AlphaPCM and K2LD. Together, we crafted a timeless, immersive experience that adds a new dimension to Casselden – one designed to last well into the next decade. #MakingSpacesWork Tetra Tech High Performance Buildings Group | Cosentini Associates | Glumac | Hoare Lea

AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT – MARVEL STADIUM | When Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium needed a lighting upgrade to match its high-energy atmosphere, #NDYLIGHT was given the opportunity to create something special. We’re thrilled to share that this vision was recently recognised with an Excellence Award in Lighting Design for the exterior public realm and integrated building lighting at the 2024 IESANZ VIC Lighting Society Awards. Our lighting design integrates with Marvel Stadium’s new architecture, elevating the public realm around the South and East entries. Using a flexible lighting control system developed by Lightmoves Pty Ltd, the setup adapts to the stadium’s rhythm - energising the space on game days and creating an inviting ambiance even when the crowd isn’t roaring. From the facade, kinetic coloured light elements create a vibrant display, branding the stadium and precinct in a dynamic, ever-changing way. The project was a true team effort, collaborating with the AFL - Australian Football League client team and the talented architects and interior designers at Grimshaw and smartform architecture. We’re proud to have played a role in lighting up the action on this project. #MakingSpacesWork Tetra Tech High Performance Buildings Group | Cosentini Associates | Glumac | Hoare Lea

NDYLIGHT is thrilled to have been involved in the upgrade of the lighting at ANZ's ‘Gothic Bank’ at 380 Collins Street in Melbourne. Our approach was all about subtle elegance. We upgraded the existing uplighting to provide improved control functionality, completing the space by adding a soft, sophisticated glow to the previously unlit columns. The result is a space that feels both majestic and inviting with no area feeling untouched. A new backlighting system for the skylight improves the overall ambience, augmenting the natural daylight permeating through and significantly increasing its impact within the space regardless of the weather conditions. We also provided specialist lighting for display cases and museum elements at low level which creates focused highlights, drawing attention to the details at a human scale. Congratulations to our project partners on successfully delivering this beautiful space within a much-loved heritage building. #MakingSpacesWork Tetra Tech High Performance Buildings Group | Cosentini Associates | Glumac | Hoare Lea

NDYLIGHT, in collaboration with Cox Architecture and Charter Hall, crafted a lighting design that breathes life into the expansive 2 floor main foyer at 555 Collins Street in Melbourne. The lighting elegantly cascades down the connecting stairway from the mezzanine to the lower ground, creating a luminous path that leads to bike storage and end-of-trip facilities. This illumination continues, enhancing the level amenities and elevator lobbies with a soft, inviting glow. We also designed a stunning integrated facade lighting solution that accentuates the architectural beauty of the podium’s glass reinforced concrete (GRC) facade, showcasing a play on light and design innovation. #MakingSpacesWork NDY | Tetra Tech High Performance Buildings Group | Cosentini Associates | Glumac | Hoare Lea

We’ve been looking back at our projects and one of the standouts is our collaboration with Deloitte, where we delivered services design and architectural lighting to their workspaces across Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Adelaide. In particular, the space at 477 Collins Street in Melbourne showcases a split floor design with hub floors located between typical work floor and client spaces. The lighting for meeting rooms, quiet zones and offices is designed for flexibility, supporting daily tasks and high-end video conferencing. In addition, for breakout areas and informal spaces atypical solutions were delivered to create variability and interesting environments for staff. The design for 3 client floors centres around varied functionality, incorporating breakout areas, client lounges, adaptable meeting rooms and large function spaces. All are interconnected by a central feature staircase. #NDYLIGHT blended ambient and feature lighting, including dynamic coloured lighting in select areas, to meet both practical and experiential needs. As an integral part of these 3 floors, we also collaborated with Art Pharmacy, integrating an art lighting overlay to complement a curated art program, enhancing the visual experience for Deloitte’s staff and clients. #MakingSpacesWork NDY | Tetra Tech High Performance Buildings Group | Cosentini Associates | Glumac | Hoare Lea
