Last week, our teams across Australia, the UK and Canada connected in their local offices as part of Nous Days. This biannual event is our chance to connect, reflect and recharge. We looked back on 2024, recalled the big achievements from Nous' 25th year and identified learning and growth opportunities for 2025. Our 25th year has been a big one! Not only did we deliver great work for a growing client base, but we also made important progress on strategic priorities which set us up for greater positive influence in the years ahead. Some of the many highlights include welcoming new colleagues from Ziplet and Health Policy Analysis into Nous Group, growing our influence in Canada substantially, and leaning into AI adoption across our teams. We also celebrated milestones and promotions, strengthened our commitment to reconciliation, reported strong results in gender pay equality, and took home four workplace awards in the UK. To round out a great year, we recently received our Beaton Benchmark results which show we were the best performer for overall client service when compared to seven major competitors. At our recent health event, hosted in partnership with the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM), we explored the rapidly evolving digital health ecosystem. Ensuring educational offerings are responsive to changes in student needs, academic trends and industry demands comes with its challenges. More than half (54 per cent) of university leaders surveyed in our recent research say it takes an average of one to two years, or more than two years, to develop and launch a new course or program. The research also shows that the process for obtaining course or program approval is the biggest barrier universities face in reducing the time to market for new educational products.
