We were honoured to march in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, celebrating 35 years of NSW Police Force GLLOs and joining the community in a sea of colour, music, and pride. We’re proud to stand with LGBTQIA+ communities - because safety, respect, and equality should be for all. 💙✨

Last Saturday, a 30-year-old man went for a coastal stroll at North Curl Curl… but things took a turn when he got stuck on Cassie Rock as the tide rolled in! Swept into the water, he found shelter in a small cave—luckily, some quick-thinking fishermen spotted him and called for help. Enter PolAir! 🚁💨 Our crew swooped in, winched him to safety, and got him back on solid ground. Police, Fire and Rescue NSW, and NSW Ambulance were all on hand to check him over—just a few scrapes, but otherwise A-OK! Since February 2024, our Dog Unit has been getting pawsome, much-needed pupgrade! 🐶🏠🐕🦺 Last Monday, we officially unleashed the new and improved facility, featuring new kennels, agility areas, staff facilities, security upgrades, and a special Honour Wall to remember the police dogs who served and have since passed. These fetching enhancements provide the best environment for training, recovery, and daily life—keeping our dogs fit, focused, and ready for duty! 🚔🐾

Earlier today the NSW Police Marine Area Command officially commissioned three new Class 3 vessels into service, enhancing the force’s offshore capabilities. During a special ceremony at Marine Area Command, the Sea Hawk, Sea Dragon, and Sea Eagle were blessed and launched by Minister for Police and Counter-Terrorism Yasmin Catley, Commissioner Karen Webb, and Marine Area Command Crime Manager Detective Inspector Siobhan Munro. This #FeelGoodFriday is quite literally, one for the books —especially for our readers in the Riverina Police District (see what we did there) 📚✨ Thanks to some local partners, Cootamundra now has it's very own community street library at the station 📖💙 It runs on a simple but powerful idea—take a book, leave a book (so yes, if you’ve just finished Onyx Storm, feel free to pass the pain along 🥲). The library on wheels goes outside the station Monday-Friday between 8am-4pm 📚📚📚 It's stocked with a variety of books already! So whether you're into dragon-riding love stories (thoughts and prayers, Xaden), Fae "bat boys", hungry caterpillars, cats in hats, finding Wally or "whodunnits", we're sure the library has something for you 🐉🦇🦋🐱🎩🕵️♂️
