Some of our team recently had the privilege of attending the NSW Public Sector Women in Leadership Summit – an inspiring two-day event that equipped them with valuable leadership skills, fostered meaningful connections and provided insights from remarkable women in the public sector. They heard from speakers like The Rt Hon Dame Jacinda Ardern, The Hon Julie Bishop and Laura Christie PSM who shared invaluable lessons on leadership, resilience and purpose. They also gained wisdom from others including The Hon Linda Burney, Ruth Owen CBE GAICD, Emma McKeon OAM and The Hon Verity Firth AM. Here are a few key takeaways that resonated: 🔹 Believe in your capabilities 🔹 Leadership is about lifting others as you rise 🔹 Optimism, authenticity and empathy are leadership superpowers Thanks to The Hatchery (Hub) for organising an incredible event. Telco is proud to continue supporting women and gender-diverse leaders in the public sector. #NSWTelcoAuthority #NSWGovernment #WIL25 #WomenInLeadershipSummit #WomenInLeadership #Leadership #Empowerment #InspiringLeaders

A successful rescue in the Blue Mountains last month showed how reliable communications can save lives. When hiker Marissa Gee went missing for six days, we provided critical support to the emergency teams who were involved in the search response. Telco deployed two P25 Cells On Wheels (COWs) to support the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) Remote Area team. The COWs provided critical communications coverage in the rugged terrain, especially in the deep canyons where connectivity is often a challenge. This enabled emergency services to coordinate seamlessly and focus on finding Marissa. David Wall, one of our staff and a NSW Rural Fire Service volunteer, was on the ground as part of the search effort. "The Telco COWs were essential to this outcome, providing excellent coverage and proving why what we do at NSW Telco Authority matters so much,” he said. This operation highlights the vital role we play in supporting emergency responders across NSW. Reliable communications infrastructure makes a real difference, and we’re proud to help save lives.
