When teamwork and tech come together 🤝 This month, over 200 emergency service personnel from 17 agencies joined forces at a symposium led by NSW State Emergency Service to strengthen flood rescue responses. The multi-agency collaboration focused on enhancing flood rescue capabilities, with experts tackling challenging mass-casualty flood scenarios to better prepare for future events. They tested innovative tools, like:  •  drones for safer rescues  • e-bikes for accessing remote areas  • unmanned surface vessels to reduce risks  • amphibious vehicles for tough conditions. #NSWSES #Training #FloodRescue

Sydney Olympic Park has released their draft plan to transform the suburb! 🤩 The plan aims to transform this iconic destination into a vibrant urban community, designed to accommodate the growing population of both residents and visitors expected at Sydney Olympic Park. Key features include: • up to 13,000 homes •  430 hectares of parklands •  new school education sites • additional public spaces and 10+ playgrounds • a new library, sports fields and retail spaces. Today, on Remembrance Day, we come together to mark the anniversary of the end of the First World War and remember those who gave their lives in service to our nation. At dawn and dusk, poppies will be projected onto the shells of the Sydney Opera House —a heartfelt tribute to the fallen. A service will be held at the Cenotaph in Martin Place, Sydney, at 10:30am.
