As a collaborative group, NTIBN, its members and associates create opportunity and increased potential for participation of Indigenous business in the Northern Territory economy. The NTIBN exists to support current and emerging Indigenous businesses, in all regions of the Northern Territory, in their journey to success through programs that work by focusing on strengths, and how they can be used by Indigenous business owners and entrepreneurs to further their futures in business.

Member Monday: Tribal Psychology Tammy, the founder of Tribal Psychology, proudly embraces her First Nations heritage, honouring her Palawa/Pakana lineage from Tasmania and her roots in the Anindilyakwa tribe from the Northern Territory, where she was raised. Tammy's deep passion lies in supporting individuals affected by the Stolen Generations. As a registered psychologist, Tammy operates her private practice, Tribal Psychology, utilising evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Clinical and Neuro-hypnotherapy, and EMDR. Her unique approach integrates her First Nations background, aligning with the Social and Emotional Well-being framework that encompasses the body, mind, emotions, family and kinship, community, culture, land, and spirituality. Tammy emphasises inclusivity, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs to Tribal Psychology. With a diverse career history, Tammy has worked as a prison officer and Intelligence/Investigations officer for Corrections and Immigration. Her experience then expanded into employment services, counselling, and psychology, where she has been dedicated to helping people from various walks of life. Tammy is highly qualified in all the modalities she offers and is an active member of several professional organisations, including: • Australian Indigenous Psychological Association • Australian Association of Psychologists Inc • EMDR Association of Australia In January 2024, Tammy embarked on a PhD in Philosophy, focusing her research on integrating First Nations Traditional Healing practices within Western psychological frameworks.
