My project team have just delivered a new paging and communications system at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Western Australia    The first phase of an 18-month project to deliver a new communication and collaboration system went into service at Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) on Wednesday 4 December 2024. This system replaced the end-of-life paging solution which has been used since the hospital opened in 2014. The paging system is critical to hospital operations, used for time-sensitive hospital communications, including emergency codes alerts (critical hospital incidents such as a Code Red – Fire, Smoke, Smell of Gas). The new system replaces a legacy paging solution at FSH with an innovative, contemporary smartphone-based application which replaces more than 1,400 aging wireless phones. Replacement of any critical hospital system is a significant event and is the result of 18 months of collaboration and planning with multiple vendors, including: -Technology and business change management. -Critical, clinical communication process analysis and design. -Comprehensive testing. -User training and familiarisation. -Dedicated 24 hr go-live support team to support the transition; and -Business continuity planning to minimise hospital impact based on an unplanned incident. The solution provides the following key innovative features: -Emergency code notifications with real-time interactive responses. -Self-service contact directory including clinical roles and staff names. -Video and chat functionality for contemporary peer support. -Single tap log-on for state-of-the-art security and identification. -Full integration with hospitals telephony system; and -Automatic location information for emergency Code Black duress alerts. This is the first phase of the project which will ultimately provide many benefits to clinical workflows and workloads, hospital management and patient outcomes.

  • Last Thursday evening, we transformed the Brendan Lovelock boardroom into a hub of innovation, collaboration, and—of course—great wine and pizza! 🍷🍕 Our Tech & Taste Night brought together an incredible group of tech enthusiasts as we shared insights into digital twin technology, real-life RTLS use cases, and our latest clinical communication capabilities. But the night wasn’t just about tech (though there was plenty of that!)—it was about fostering connections and having meaningful discussions to support better outcomes for Australian hospitals. The verdict? 5/5 across the board! ⭐ Some attendees even suggested making this a quarterly tradition—and we couldn’t agree more. Swipe through for highlights 📸 and let us know: Would you join us for the next one?

  • Last week, the new right-to-disconnect laws came into play—great news for most industries! But what about healthcare, where the system demands 24/7 attention? 🏥 How can these rights be practically applied? We’ve launched the first issue of our comic book series, diving into this ideal world—a world where healthcare workers can stay connected, balance their work and personal life, and still deliver exceptional care. We know it’s not quite reality yet (surgeons often rely on the nearest un-scrubbed clinician to answer calls during surgeries on their role-based devices), but it’s what we’re striving for with our software. • 💡 Yesterday, our CEO Martin Moszczynski joined an insightful online panel on AI in healthcare, hosted by MedTech Actuator, alongside Dr Leila Alem and Viktor Kyosev. Dr. Alem shared a fascinating fact—she completed her doctorate in AI back in the 80s. Believe it or not, AI has been a thing for years and it's only getting smarter! It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas and explore how AI can support shaping the future of healthcare to benefit us all. MedTech Actuator is running more of these workshops for tech startups, so if you're interested, be sure to reach out to them! #HealthcareInnovation #AIinHealthcare #MedtechActuator

  • ✨ Wrapping Up an Amazing Event at #HIC2024 ✨ As the final day of HIC 2024 comes to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited stand 70. We had an incredible time showcasing our communication and collaboration suite and connecting with many passionate healthcare professionals. Highlights: ✅ David Paré's presentation on bridging the gap between clinical and operational processes in hospitals. ✅ Engaged in insightful conversations with key industry leaders and innovators. ✅ Demonstrated how our system can save precious time for clinicians and increase staff safety. We're excited about the new relationships we've built and the potential collaborations that lie ahead. The enthusiasm and feedback we received were invaluable, and we can't wait to continue these discussions!
