To celebrate the holiday season, we invited a selection of industry leaders from Ad Net Zero foundation supporter organisations to tell us 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥) 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧. OMD Australia Co-CEO Laura Nice is already on the case! She said: “This year, I’ve embraced a more sustainable approach to the holiday season by clearing out the kids’ toys before Christmas. We’ve gathered the items they no longer play with or books they’ve outgrown and donated them to a local charity shop. This way, families who may not afford brand-new presents can still find something special at a much lower cost. More importantly, it’s a meaningful way to give these toys and books a second life, keeping them out of landfill and spreading joy to others.” The holiday season is the perfect time to embrace sustainability, especially when you consider that Australians generate 30% more waste during Christmas than any other time of the year.
