  • We are thrilled to have been amongst the first to deliver a conference and events at the brand new The Star in #Brisbane. Over three days we executed three social events and a comprehensive conference program which showcased Brisbane's vibrant city to 440 delegates from across Australia. With engaging speakers, exceptional entertainment, three ballrooms, four breakout rooms and an exhibition hall, the planning required was meticulous, but with our team and industry partners, we nailed it! We are incredibly grateful to The Star Entertainment Group, AVPartners, #jenniebellink and The Prop House Collective who contributed to this successful event; it truly takes a village to bring such a vision to life!

    G'DAY24 was one for the books. Last week in Brisbane, we has the privilege of hosting more than 450 delegates, industry leading suppliers and memorable keynote speakers for our #GDAY24 National Conference. Check out some of the highlights below. Were you there? What was your favourite moment? If you couldn't make it this year, we hope to see you in 2025 - it's sure to be another specatular celebration of our #GdayParks network.

  • We've been around a long time (we know some stuff) and one of the most important lessons in the event industry is to only work with the best! The most experienced and the most professional - people who identify with your same high level of expectations. While on site this week with Jano Kotzas, you realise just how important this is. Normally only your life partner finishes your sentences, but when you've been in the game together for decades, it's amazing to have another supplier who can do the same when delivering high-end events. Thank you to everyone we worked with this week including The Star Entertainment Group, #jenniebellink, The Prop House Collective and AVPartners. We'll post more about this amazing conference we delivered last week; we'll just have a little nap first...😉

    What a week!!!! This week my team and I worked with the amazing people of Onstage Entertainment to bring to life a 2 day conference, opening party and gala dinner at The Star Brisbane. Andrea Heath, Keeley and the team were AMAZING to work with. We created our styling using fresh florals (thanks James St Florist), custom neon signage, amazing sunsets, very BIG balls & mirror balls, chandeliers (thanks Staging Dimensions - The Event Design Warehouse), marquee letters, live plants (thanks Sunnydale Garden Centre)... and a whole lot of man power from my sensational team.   • We had the most amazing time delivering these events for our client! Our staff were onsite to stage manage, problem solve, artist liaise and event manage - you name it, we helped! It's a wild ride on these huge desert events, but so so so rewarding! Scorpions and all......😉

    Top three things I learnt when creating and delivering large scale events in Uluṟu (Yulara) 1) It DOES rain in the desert! Rain turns sand into mud and mud is unstable and lethal to audio visual. Ensure wet weather plans and risk assessments are communicated, detailed and understood by all stakeholders. 2) Focus on each event like it’s the first. The desert will throw challenges at you that you couldn’t make up if you tried, and every gig provides new learnings. Couple that with a different set of large scale production build requirements each time and you’ve got yourself a melting pot of potential disaster. Refine your processes each time in consultation with your valued and specialised suppliers. 3) You can’t do it alone. Engage truly experienced and specialised suppliers with a long history of success and do it from the start of the project. Surround yourself with those who work as a cohesive team onsite and who will ensure every crazy “pivot” is executed safely and promptly. Make sure they will laugh with you and laugh at you. You’ll need it when you’ve dropped your phone in a portaloo and there’s a goanna in your prado! Event number 10 coming up in Uluṟu next week.     It's been some weeks - we needed to catch out breathe 😴 However #TPMEvents were 🌟thrilled🌟 to support Kennards Hire in hosting their biannual Managers Conference on the Gold Coast, where nearly 400 managers gathered for a dynamic and engaging event. 🎉 Over the 5 days, we produced 2.5 days of bespoke training for branch managers, and 2.5 days of sales and customer relationship training. Then, all managers participated in 2 days of learning, engaging, and networking. The week saw no less then 100 presentations take place. With 5 nights of dinner events we were spoiled with opportunities taking in a casual arrival BBQ, a Poolside Welcome, an Italian Fiesta, an offsite feast to fill any belly at Miami Marketta and then a Gala dinner to beat all Gala Dinners featuring all things QUEEN (the rock n roll kind). For such a geographically diverse team (national and international) this was an opportunity to meet face-to-face, build relationships and new connections. A massive thank you to Liz Eassie and the huge Kennards Hire team for their collaboration and support working with #TPMEvents as we worked to delivery their conference. As well as 101 Productions for ensuring every AV moment ran smoothly and RACV Royal Pines Resort for their exceptional hospitality. We’re grateful for the trust and partnership of Kennards Hire. Managing the fourth Kennards Hire Managers Conference was a rewarding experience filled with hardwork, excitement, and fun. We can’t wait for the next one!
