Yesterday afternoon tenor Jin Tea Kim, the longest serving member of our Chorus, met Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Sydney Opera House. We’ve been bringing opera to the Sydney Opera House for all of its five-decade history. Jin Tea has been there for most of that time, with more than 40 years’ experience in our Chorus. Jin Tea was one of the first to greet the King and Queen as they arrived, along with Joanna Lumley, Bangarra’s Frances Rings, Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Alexander Morris, Sydney Theatre Company’s Heather Mitchell, and Lucia Richardson, an acrobat/dancer with Flying Fruit Fly Circus.
