About us

The Office of the Queensland Mine Rehabilitation Commissioner understands that a collaborative multi-disciplinary approach is needed to ensure the best social, economic, environmental, and scientific, mine rehabilitation outcomes are achieved. Our vision is leading Queensland to achieve best practice in mined land rehabilitation. We do this through four key responsibilities: • Connect - Engage with stakeholders and the community to raise awareness of mine rehabilitation matters. • Research - Produce technical reports on the best practice rehabilitation of land impacted by resource activities • Advise - Provide advice to the Minister on mine rehabilitation practices, outcomes and policies • Report - Report on mine rehabilitation performance and trends in Queensland Our research publications are available on our website and aim to establish clear evidence based, best practice standards for mined land rehabilitation.
