🏆 OT of the Year 2024!   📣 WOW! WOW! WOW! 🎉🎉🎉 A huge congratulations to Chris Pearce who was recognized at the Australian Allied Health Awards on Saturday night! With over 30,000 registered OT’s nationally, the Australian Allied Health Awards bring together Australia’s brightest superstars across the industry! It was great to see so many achievements and innovations occurring across Australia! We think being selected as a finalist is a huge achievement in itself – and being awarded as ‘OT of the Year 2024’ is an incredible achievement recognising years of dedication and hard work! 👏👏👏 The Awards ceremony was held at The Star on the Gold Coast this year, and Chris spent the evening celebrating with his very own cheer squad – shout out to Ruth Jodrell, Phillip Judge, Daniel james waite Romanin, Daniel & Jenny Gribbin! In accepting his award, Chris took the opportunity to acknowledge the importance of codesign & collaboration in achieving innovative practice and supporting each other, particularly in an industry that has been decentralised and destabilised with constant and ongoing change. He also thanked family and mentors who have supported and contributed to his achievements during his career and particularly in recent years - recognizing the importance of supporting future generations so that healthcare services and our profession can continue to improve on what has already been established! Chris also recognized the role of our national association and thanked Occupational Therapy Australia for the opportunities provided over many years. ❤️ The team at OTSG would also like to give a special shout out to Chris’ biggest role model and mentor – his mum - Marilyn has been an inspiration and fierce support throughout his career & has been pivotal in instilling the values behind the initiatives that Chris and the OTSG team have implemented! What an incredible achievement and a huge congratulations to all of the winners on the night! Well done also to Sarena Jones & the amazing team at the Australian Allied Health Awards for putting together a truly inspiring night! #alliedhealthawards

🥂🥳 Earlier this month we celebrated our amazing #WorkFamily at our annual OTSG Christmas Party! #2024 was a big year for all of us, and we spent time reflecting on all we have achieved this year... ♥️ We welcomed 8 new team members and recognised 7 Rock Stars this year... 💚 We saw 11 students on placement for over 2128 supervision hours, as well as hosted two cohorts of over 150 students for practical education on site! 💛 We fundraised over $20,000 for the WA community... 💜 We provided over 25 Ed Sessions, Social Groups, & Think Tanks to our team and the wider community... 💙 We've been featured on programs including 7NEWS Australia Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) News South West, the #DriveABLEPodcast 7mate TV & 6PR Perth Radio, and we provided services to 7 regions of WA, expanding our clinics in the SouthWest and Northam regions... 📍 Our Bentley office has been fitted out with new furniture, door automation, and improved parking options. We've also seen our Malaga office reshuffled and improved. Finally, our Solution Centre saw some MASSIVE changes this year, and will only keep improving in the new year (watch this space! 👀)... 👑 Our very own Chris was awarded Occupational Therapist of the Year at the National Allied Health Awards #kingoftheOTs... 💪 We were also awarded a CHSP My Aged Care Growth Grant - seeing our Older Adult Services continue to grow! We absolutely couldn't have done what we set out to achieve weren't it for the superstars that make up this incredible team! 🤩 On the night, we also acknowledged some of our team with our End of Year Awards. 🎉 WHAT A NIGHT TO REMEMBER! 🎉 Thank you for supporting us during #OTWeek2024 this year, to Celebrate 80 Years of Connection and raise much-needed funds for a great cause at our annual Fundraising Quiz Night 🙏❤️ We are thrilled to announce that together, we all raised an INCREDIBLE $1️⃣8️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ for Wheelchairs For Kids Australia this year! 🥳 To date, Wheelchairs for Kids has made and distributed over 60,000 wheelchairs globally, and with the funds raised from our Quiz Night this year, they can now add another 6️⃣5️⃣ wheelchairs to that total!! ♿️🥳 A big SHOUT OUT 📣 to Occupational Therapy Australia, the team at Occupational Therapy Services Group & EVERYONE who helped us bring this event together. In November, our team of dedicated OTs, including Ruth Jodrell, Eva Gathogo & Megan Gass started making fortnightly day-trips to Northam, expanding our wheatbelt services! 🙌 We're hitting the road early morning every-other Friday, to bring our experienced Occupational Therapy Services to our friends in the Wheatbelt Region! We love our rural regions and are excited to extend our support to the Wheatbelt area. 🎉🥳 We’ve got some REALLY. EXCITING. NEWS!! …. Occupational Therapy Services Group has received a CHSP Growth Funding Grant! 🎉🥳 🚨 We are thrilled to announce that OT Services Group has been recently selected as one of the recipients of the highly competitive Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) Growth Funding Grants! 🙌 With over 1200 applications from across Australia, we are proud to have secured 5330 hours of occupational therapy services (or almost $800,000 in funding) to provide My Aged Care services. This funding helps to address service provision gaps in our community, and ensure that much-needed support reaches our older adults! 👏👏👏 Commencing on November 1st, 2024 through to June 30th, 2025, we will be delivering CHSP services across 6 regions in WA – Metro (North, East, South East, and South West); the South West of WA, and the Wheatbelt region. 💡 What is CHSP? The Commonwealth Home Support Programme is an entry level My Aged Care program, designed to support older Australians in maintaining safe, active and independent living in the community! This grant is an incredible opportunity to expand the reach of our occupational therapy services and positively impact the lives of more older Australians. ♿️♿️♿️♿️ EIGHT MORE WHEELCHAIRS DONATED! ♿️♿️♿️♿️ Wheelchairs don’t just provide mobility - they provide lifelong empowerment through access to education, better health outcomes and increased social connections, granting the most vulnerable children a renewed sense of dignity, hope, and independence - https://lnkd.in/evrBru7 $300.00 covers the cost to manufacture one wheelchair, and anyone who made such a generous donation went into the draw for our VIP Raffle 🎟️🌟 This year, eight wheelchairs additional wheelchairs were donated to our fundraising efforts as part of our VIP raffle, providing eight more children around the world with the mobility they otherwise wouldn’t have. We can’t thank you enough for your support and generosity!
