I've got a client who will be in need of a freelance Electrical Draftsman | Designer for ad hoc project work in 2025! This would suit a Draftsman with a solid background in industrial environments as my clients main customers are in the food & beverage, manufacturing and FMCG industries. You will also have to have solid knowledge with designing electrical equipment including switchboards, MCC's etc in a control systems environment. AutoCAD experience essential. As a freelance Draftsman, you will be required in the spur-of-the-moment when my clients project workload increases so there will be times you will be overloaded with work and other times when it will be a little quiet. If you're a freelancer, you'll understand this. The exciting thing about this opportunity is that you can be based anywhere in Australia. Prepare Questions for Them - Ask thoughtful questions about the team, current and future goals, or challenges. It shows engagement and initiative. Dress Professionally - First impressions matter! Dress appropriately for the company’s culture - when in doubt, lean toward professional attire. Stay Positive and Confident - Show enthusiasm for the role and confidence in your abilities. Employers want to see someone who’s eager to contribute. By the end of the interview, if you're genuinely interested in pursuing the opportunity then let them know. Follow Up - Send a thank-you email within 24 hours, expressing gratitude for the opportunity and reiterating your interest in the role. Remember, interviews are a two-way street - it’s about finding the right fit for both you and the employer.
