About us
Parks,Recreation and Leisure WA (PRLWA) is the peak body for the parks, recreation and leisure industry in Western Australia. As a not-for-profit association we support and advocate on behalf of ‘the people behind the places’ who plan for, design, construct and manage nature, sport, recreation and community facilities, services and activate opportunities for community through to elite level participation for all sports and community activities. This includes, amongst many others those that work in • Leisure and recreation planning • Leisure, sport and aquatic facilities • Sport and recreation programming • Parks, landscape and the environment • Recreation and community development • Leisure fitness • Playspace design and construction • Community events & activation • Arts & culture OUR VISION For Western Australia to have the enviable reputation of quality living by access to public space, community sport and recreation. OUR MISSION To build and support a strong parks, recreation and leisure industry network with resource, knowledge and advocacy. OUR AIM To be a strong and viable organisation that supports and builds the skills of the parks, recreation and leisure industry in WA, improving the quality of life for all West Australians.
