Last week, tourism operators and local reef industry professionals worked tirelessly through the annual coral spawning, one of nature’s most extraordinary events. Triggered by November's full moon, this underwater "snowstorm" releases trillions of eggs and sperm, creating new life in the reef.   This year, the Australian Institute of Marine Science trained Cairns and Port Douglas marine industries in Coral IVF, a technique to boost coral numbers and support the reef's regeneration. By capturing millions of coral eggs and sperm in floating larval pools, they're giving these spawn bundles the best chance to develop into healthy young corals and rejuvenate the Great Barrier Reef.   We’re proud to be working alongside Tourism Tropical North Queensland in helping protect and regenerate the Great Barrier Reef for generations to come.   Thank you to Melissa Woodley for sharing the good news on Time Out Group plc Australia.
