🌟Telethon Ball 2024 - Supporting WA Kids We are thrilled to have been part of the annual prestigious Telethon Ball, a truly remarkable event that showcased the incredible generosity and philanthropy of the Perth community. This year's event, MC'd by Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas, with the memorable presence of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, WA Premier Roger Cook and many other distinguished guests, was a resounding success, raising a record-breaking $16.7 million. The Telethon Ball is a true testament to the spirit of giving and community, raising millions of dollars for sick children across Western Australia. The fact that this is the largest per capita fundraising not just in Australia but in the world, is a source of great pride for all West Australians. We are honoured to be part of this powerhouse of philanthropy and generosity and play a part in supporting such a worthy cause. This year's Telethon will have a far-reaching impact across the state, with a record 136 beneficiary organisations set to benefit. The funds raised will support a range of initiatives, from advancing medical research to providing essential services and equipment, all contributing to building a better future for WA's children. Melanoma, a deadly form of skin cancer, is largely caused by sun exposure, and their work at the Institute focuses on achieving ‘zero deaths from melanoma’. Professor Scolyer became the world's first brain cancer patient to consent to an experimental immunotherapy approach used in melanoma. This approach aims to activate the patient's own immune system, offering hope that the clinical and scientific team can advance the understanding of brain cancer and benefit future patients. Check out the 99.45 kW roof-mounted Off-Grid PV system our team installed at the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council's Red Hill Mechanics Workshop. This project underscores our expertise in off-grid solar installations. 🎯 Reduced Dependence on Diesel & Lowered Diesel Costs: Significantly decreased the workshop’s reliance on the diesel generator, resulting in lower diesel expenses. 🎯 Cut Carbon Emissions: Contributed to a decrease in carbon emissions, promoting environmental sustainability. 🎯 Enhanced Energy Independence: Provided a robust off-grid solution with a 100 kWh battery bank and 100 kVA power conversion system. This innovative system operates independently from the grid and works in synchronism with a 100 kVA diesel generator, automatically switching to the generator when solar power is insufficient.
