Our team were busy during the festive season! 💗 Petstock Group team members attended the Make-A-Wish Australia Trees of Joy initiative bringing extra Christmas cheer by gifting 17 wish families beautifully decorated trees, unveiled at a magical event. The Petstock Foundation are proud to have donated an additional $5,000 to the event. It was great to see support from partners like EzyDog, Real Pet Food, and Hill's Pet Nutrition in making life-changing wishes possible.

At Story Dogs, their volunteers don't pay anything to join the organisation and they are given all the necessary items and training to start with their dog in a school. These include a reading rug, uniform for the dogs and volunteers, insurance, training materials, and ongoing support. Thanks to our Christmas project, funds raised help to fund all costs associated with putting a Volunteer Dog Team into a school to help 10 children every year become confident lifelong readers 💗🎄 Story Dogs Christmas Project to help Story Dogs continue their incredible work by visiting our website.

Our charity partner, Story Dogs, enables a child and a dog with their volunteer handler, a weekly one-on-one reading session held at the child’s reading level throughout the course of a school year. The literacy program is based on the Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) model. Story Dog Volunteers are guided in working with children to go at the child’s pace and use the calming presence of the dog to support comprehension during each 20-minute reading session.
