Funding anatomical, camouflage & cosmetic tattoos for breast cancer mastectomy survivors across Australia.
About us
Pink Ink provides Australian male and female breast cancer survivors benevolent relief, support and assistance through medical, cosmetic or artistic mastectomy tattooing. These simple, but costly, tattoos can ease the suffering and distress caused by the residual scarring, body disfigurement, loss of nipple/areola, permanent eyebrow loss, or other, that has resulted from mastectomy, breast cancer surgery, chemotherapy or radiation treatment. Pink Ink offers funding for these tattoos as it is an important part of a full physical, mental and emotional recovery from the breast cancer journey.

Sending a HUGE THANK YOU to Giovaninno Navarra owner of Rydges Norwest Sydney for his very kind donation of $2,000 which was used to create Information Packs for distribution at the 2024 International Breast Cancer Conference which was held 23-26 October in Leura NSW. There were approximately 500 Australian breast surgeons, oncologists, breast cancer specialists etc in attendance and they received these packs at registration. These envelopes were specially printed, and they contained 50 flyers for delegates to display in their surgery, clinic or hospital. I am pleased to report, we have already started getting enquiries from this campaign! I would also like to thank Colonial Print and Copy, VMS Event & Conference Logistics and the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute for their help in making this happen!

Experiencing symptoms of PTSD is a real side-effect for many people diagnosed with breast cancer. Treating PTSD is complex, and managing PTSD has challenges - especially for breast cancer survivors, because one of the main triggers - is their own reflection. An anatomical, camouflage or cosmetic tattoo can visually mask the physical trauma - the scars - the burns - the missing anatomy. It can be part of the answer to treating, avoiding or eliminating PTSD from survivors who have already suffered so much. DONATE NOW to help us - help them - reclaim their bodies and become a powerful new version of themselves. https://lnkd.in/dWUq6kDc

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our goal this month is to spread the message that aftercare is essential for survivors physical and mental health. Cancer survivors can suffer from depression, body dysmorphia and/or post-cancer post traumatic stress disorder (PCPTSD) - all of which have been linked to suicide. Avoiding & eliminating triggers is a key component to managing such mental health issues as when people encounter trauma triggers, they can experience significant behavioural, somatic, and psychological responses.
