A mine site pushed truck speeds up in search of more performance. The productivity gains were immediate (but they came with a big cost)   ↓ Tyre fire incidents became more frequent ↓ Tyre life expectancy dropped ↓ Downtime increased and preventable damage was overlooked.   A complex challenge, but one that collaboration and technology helped solve. Working alongside the mine’s team and industry partners, Pitcrew AI and Kal Tire Mining Tire Group helped implement a multi-layered solution. By integrating AIS thermal imaging and AI-driven inspections, the team enabled: 1. Continuous tyre condition monitoring, with every tyre scanned each time a truck passed the inspection station. 2. 24/7 high-frequency data collection, reducing disruptions and protecting field workers 3. Timely alerts on early tyre damage, allowing condition monitoring 4. The integration of Kal Tire's TOMS and Pitcrew AI allowed for tire condition-based assessments.   The result: ↗︎ Zero tyre fires ↗︎ Tyre life back to pre-speed-increase levels (without loosing the productivity gain) ↗︎ Increased uptime and MTBS for tyre work (with better planned maintenance, improved tyre life and work aggregation came significant uptime gains, allowing trucks to operate longer and more efficiently)   With the autonomous inspection systems installed, the need for manual inspections is reduced dramatically, keeping your technicians safe and allowing Kal Tires condition monitoring team to make the right decisions.   Curious how Pitcrew AI can improve your operations?
