  • Why can a #podcast help nurture listeners into leads? Here are 5 reasons: 1. #PodcastingWithPurpose is not about broadcasting your voice, but rather building bonds beyond digital waves with your ideal client. 2. #PodcastingWithPurpose enables you to create an intimate space with your ideal client. 3. #PodcastingWithPurpose enables you to create a unique and uncopyable experience that resonates with your ideal client and why YOU become THE coach/consultant she wants to work with. 4. #PodcastingWithPurpose enables you to become more than a voice; you're seen as a trusted mentor and confidant for your ideal client. 5. #PodcastingWithPurpose enables you to shorten the time where your ideal client is just getting to know you, through to wanting to hire you, because of the time she's spent with you binge-listening to every episode of your podcast.

Imagine being able to spend over thirty hours whispering insights, sharing laughter, and weaving stories directly into the ears of your ideal client without even being in the same room. That's the power of podcasting. It's not just about broadcasting your message; it's about creating an intimate space where each listener feels like you're speaking directly to them. You're not just a voice; you're a trusted friend, a mentor who understands their struggles and dreams. Through your podcast, you plant seeds of hope and possibility, nurturing a bond that goes beyond the digital waves. By the time your ideal client has journeyed through your episodes, there's no one else they could envision guiding them forward. That’s #podcastingwithpurpose Isn't it time you explored the power of podcasting to connect with your ideal client on a deeper level? DM me if you're ready to amplify your impact with your voice.

  • Want to know the secret behind compelling storytelling for your podcast that enables you to build trust and your reputation as a trusted authority? It’s this… Often, to add to a story means to delete - sometimes chunks of conversation to tighten it so that the listener’s attention and interest are maintained, and above all creating an environment that fosters engagement. To achieve this delicate balance, you need to understand the overall desired outcome of the episode, the needs/desires/challenges of the listener, along with a dash of creativity to craft a truly unique and uncopyable listener experience. It's ALL in the story, what stays IN and especially what gets cut! That’s the power of storytelling in a podcast. That’s #podcastingwithpurpose

  • This may sound slightly controversial, however this is NOT what should be focusing on initially when you launch your podcast.

“What microphone should I use?” is one of the most common questions I’m asked by coaches/consultants who want to start a podcast. I’ve learned (through my 15 years of experience in podcasting and 20+ years of experience in Personal Branding and Reputation building) that technology isn’t the most important factor when it comes to building intrigue, influence, and impact with your podcast. I've had both expensive and not-so-expensive microphones and what I’ve come to realize is this… Focusing on the model (and/or make) of the microphone BEFORE you focus on getting totally clear on your MESSAGE is unwise. Especially if you’re a service-based business that wants to leverage your podcast to build your reach, reputation (as an Authority in your field), and ultimately your revenue as you continue to nurture listeners into leads, enquiries, and paying customers. Because you can’t edit compelling content from an episode with a confusing message and that fails to engage your audience. Even if it was recorded on the most expensive microphone money can buy. Instead focus on getting totally clear on WHO your ideal client (listener) is and continue to bring valuable insights and solutions to the challenges he/she is facing to your podcast, in a compelling and engaging way. Your unique, uncoypable, and forgettable message. When you do, he/she won't care what microphone it was recorded on (as long as it’s audible of course). That’s #podcastingwithpurpose

  • [MASTERCLASS REPLAY] Let's Talk Money - Pricing and Packaging Challenges You'll have often heard me share the importance of having a unique, uncopyable, and unforgettable brand and message in place before you launch your podcast. Because, while a podcast will help you amplify your message, if your message is unclear and/or uncompelling then your podcast will only amplify your unclear and uncompelling message to more people. In this Masterclass, I cover just some of the things you'll want to have in place, specifically how you put together programs and offers that practically will sell themselves for you because it's exactly what your dream client is looking for AND you've positioned yourself as THE choice when they're ready to move forward. Grab a notepad and pen and get ready to take lots of notes. BTW, someone told me I talk fast during this presentation. Yep, and I make no apologies - it's how I roll. (You'll never need to put me on double speed. The recordings here so you can rewatch if you missed something the first time!) https://lnkd.in/ghP5c8P6

[TIP 🎙] Podcast Hosts, here’s a question you should NEVER ask your guest - especially at the beginning of your show… It’s “So, tell me about yourself.” This was a question my co-host and I asked our guest (back in 2008) when we started our first podcast. We had no idea on how to manage guests let along strategic questioning techniques, so 20 minutes later our guest was still telling us her life journey, while my co-host and I were messaging each other on how we were going to get a word in so we could resume control of the interview. 😬 I’ve learned so much over the last 15 years in podcasting and so instead of asking a ‘tell me about yourself’ questions I would have pre-framed the questioning by pulling out a specific time in their history that was relevant to the topic being discussed on the show, and would have asked them to how they felt it helped develop them into the person they are today. It would have provided context for my audience, shared a little more about the guests background, and enabled them to provide some relevant and insightful learning experiences that my audience would find valuable. Concise, relevant, and of interest to my audience. In fact, there are 6 different types of questioning techniques that I now have in my tool kit and will use in each and every one of my shows. If you’d like to learn more - I’ve put everything I’ve learned over the last 15 years into https://lnkd.in/grqakhpv 👉 In the meantime - have you ever asked this question and found yourself with a guest sharing their life story? Or, perhaps there’s another question you now have on your ‘NEVER ask this question again’ list, that you’d recommend #podcasthosts NEVER ask? Drop it in the comments! 👇
