What was the outcome? I've been lucky enough to feel all those things in a previous role and it was great. Here's how it positively impacted me: ▶ It drove me to innovate HR programs and genuinely collaborate with my peers on any necessary tweaks without feeling threatened. 🔆 It motivated me to go 'the extra mile' which was my choice to give discretionary effort. 👍 It fostered a really positive team culture where I felt supported by my peers, my manager and my direct reports. 🚀 It enabled me to inspire my team to step up to new challenges and pitch in when the times were tough. 💯 It led to the delivery and achievement so much more than was planned on a page at the beginning of the year. ✅ It fuelled my passion to support and service the business to the best of my ability and 🆗 when I was given tough feedback on my performance - I knew it was coming from a 'good place' and would only assist me in reaching my full potential. That type of mindset isn't easy but when you feel genuine psychologically safety, assuming positive intent becomes your default belief.
