We invite you to watch an insightful interview with our Managing Director, Sam Hosack, on The Assay TV, where he provides a comprehensive update on Prospect Resources and our progress in Zambia’s copper sector. During the discussion, Sam highlights the exceptional results from Nyungu Central (part of our Mumbezhi Copper Project), where drilling has regularly intersected between 40 and 60 metres of mineralisation grading between 0.6%-0.8% copper. This is considered high-grade for the region and presents significant economic potential given its near-surface nature, delivering amenability for open-pit mining. As we move forward, key milestones include the release of a maiden resource estimate, continued exploration to define further upside and our pending application for a mining licence. Global Business Reports (GBR) 11th edition of MACIG – Mining in Africa Country Investment Guide highlights Zambia’s ambition to expand copper production. Minister of Mines, Paul Kabuswe reaffirmed the country’s commitment, stating, “Zambia is ready for business,” with a clear target of 3 million metric tonnes of annual copper production by 2031. He emphasised the importance of attracting investment, maintaining a stable policy environment and ensuring mining projects drive economic and social benefits. This vision aligns closely with Prospect Resources’ growth strategy at the Mumbezhi Copper Project. As demand for copper continues to rise, driven by battery technology and electrification, Zambia’s supportive policies and world-class copper potential create an exciting environment for resource development. Prospect Resources is pleased to announce excellent results from Phase 1 exploration drilling at the Kabikupa Prospect within the Mumbezhi Copper Project. Initial assays from five diamond drill holes (1,104m) have returned significant copper sulphide mineralisation over an 820m strike length, extending the footprint of the existing high-grade copper mineralisation. Notable intercepts include: 31.4m @ 0.60% Cu from 118m, incl. 10.5m @ 1.05% Cu (KKDD002) 29.0m @ 0.50% Cu from 106m, incl. 8.0m @ 0.77% Cu (KKDD005) 27.0m @ 0.83% Cu from 92m, incl. 10.0m @ 1.76% Cu (KBDD001) The results demonstrate semi-continuous, sub-parallel zones of mineralisation, open along strike and at depth. Geophysical and geochemical data support the potential for a significant resource at Kabikupa. An initial Mineral Resource estimate for Kabikupa, alongside Nyungu Central, is expected in Q1 2025. Further drilling will continue as part of Phase 2. Sam Hosack, Managing Director and CEO, stated, “Kabikupa represents the first regional exploration drilling we have completed since acquiring the Mumbezhi Project in Q2 2024. We are delighted with the results from the five exploratory diamond holes drilled there last year at the end of our Phase 1 Mumbezhi programme. Wide intervals exhibiting strong copper tenor have validated the IP anomalism that drove us to accelerate drilling of Kabikupa into Phase 1, along with the limited historical drill results that existed over the prospect.” Prospect remains on track for continued progress at the Mumbezhi Copper Project.
