As part of our partnership with the Cancer Council for our Working with Cancer Initiative we have been empowering our people to develop the skills and confidence to talk to people affected by cancer in the workplace. Many of the leaders across Publicis Groupe and our agencies have been actively participating in Cancer Conversation training run by the Cancer Council, with sessions taking place across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and New Zealand. Key takeaways from the sessions include: - Embracing vulnerability and openness: Participants have shown incredible willingness to engage in discussions and ask important questions they may have hesitated to address before. - Practical tools and resources: Delivered by experts from Cancer Council, the training provided advice, guidance and shared practical tools to navigate cancer in the workplace. Their guidance highlighted the support available, the impacts of cancer and the importance of boundaries in our roles. Together, we’re not just building awareness but also equipping ourselves with the skills and confidence to support our colleagues affected by cancer. Thank you to Cancer Council NSW for running this important training with us. If you would like to know how to run similar training in your organisation, please get in touch. #ProudToBePublicis #WorkingWithCancer

Yesterday, as part of White Ribbon Month, we hosted an event in partnership with Viva Women, our employee action group, and White Ribbon Australia to discuss the complexities of domestic and family violence (DFV) in our communities. The month-long event is part of a global social movement to stop male violence against women and create a safe society for women and children. We came together to educate about recognising the different forms of abuse, understanding how it can affect individuals at work and home, and exploring supportive actions we can take for ourselves and others impacted by DFV. Thank you to Dean Cooper, Dave Kramer and Tania McNair from White Ribbon Australia for joining us and sharing your insights to open up conversations around such an important topic and champion change together. #WhiteRibbonMonth

It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of Lisa Ronson today. Many of our colleagues across Publicis Groupe had the privilege of working with Lisa, and she was both an incredible client and a genuinely caring individual. Working with the teams at Digitas for Tourism Australia and Saatchi & Saatchi for Westpac, Lisa was a passionate and exceptional marketer. It was very clear to everyone who crossed paths with her that she cared deeply about those around her and inspired us all with her leadership and dedication to mentoring the next generation. Lisa's contribution to this industry will never be forgotten. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Lisa's family and friends during this difficult time.

Last week, the WA community came together for an event hosted by the Advertising Council Australia (ACA) and the WAMA (WA Marketing Association Inc.) to tackle the critical topic of how organisations can actually address and embrace DEI. Informed by the recent ACA 'Create Space' and WAMA 'A Way To Go' reports, the event highlighted the pressing reality of significant gaps that persist in our industry, with findings showing that we have a long way to go. The panel delved into the actionable steps needed to create lasting change, highlighting how crucial leadership is in driving change from the top and how DEI needs to be treated as business critical. The panel included Publicis Groupe ANZ CEO Michael Rebelo, who emphasised, “I think we’ve got to acknowledge that there’s no silver bullet...Even if you look back on the last 5 years, the conversation and intent that we’re seeing in the industry is really positive, but certainly there’s a lot of work to be done.” Read more about the event: https://lnkd.in/gjYdJD_a Photography by Lauren Brewer
