Tackling Fuel Poverty: Our Impact Report is Here! Discover how we worked to combat fuel poverty in Barking and Dagenham through practical support, social connection and improved access to resources for vulnerable residents. With funding from Cadent Foundation this initiative brought together local partners including London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, Turn2us & National Energy Action (NEA) to co-create community-led solutions for households at risk of cold-related health issues. Key highlights include: ✅ Fuel vouchers and essential items like air fryers and duvets ✅ Referrals to health, housing and financial support services ✅ Resident-led steering groups shaping events and driving engagement ✅ 87% of attendees gaining greater awareness of services available This report also highlights critical unmet needs, including unstable housing and gaps in essential living resources and shares lessons learned for tackling fuel poverty through collaborative, community-driven approaches.
