Three decades after opening its doors in the backblocks of Port Adelaide’s iconic wool store precinct, Mark Dyson has since developed Quality Wool to become Australia’s largest family wool broker. Established in 1991, Quality Wool’s footprint now spreads from South Australia up the eastern seaboard to Queensland, as well as across to Western Australia. SOME of the colour from this week's 2025 Quality Wool T20 Country Cricket Cup, with over 100 under-14 kids from eight teams across #EyrePeninsula descending upon Port Lincoln for the two-day event. After being pipped at the post in the 2024 tournament, Tumby Bay went one better this year to take out the 13th edition of the tournament. We want to thank the players, coaches, team managers and parents for giving up their time to support the tournament, the Eyre Peninsula Cricket Association and local clubs for preparing and allowing the Quality Wool Cup to use their wonderful facilities, and to #PortLincoln for once again hosting. At a conservative estimate, some 750 youngsters have taken part in the Quality Wool Cup over the journey, many of whom have gone on to representative honours as well as mixing it in the 'big smoke' in Adelaide SACA Grade Cricket. We truly get a kick out of encouraging kids in their grassroots country sport endeavours, particularly as a way of saying thank you to a region like EP which has been a loyal supporter of Quality Wool for more than three decades.
