At the annual Defence Forum in Rockingham yesterday, we gained valuable insights into the future of Defence in the area and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead. The forum highlighted a range of prospects in the defence sector, including the progress on Garden Island and ongoing requirements and projects, emphasising significant potential for local businesses, growth, and community engagement. Overall, it was a fantastic opportunity to explore the promising developments in our region, and we look forward to seeing how Rockingham can grow and thrive in the future. Yesterday, we attended the Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce Key Leaders in Business Breakfast. We had the pleasure of having our Mayor, Deb Hamblin, provide insights from her recent trip to the USA, and discussing the upcoming opportunities AUKUS will bring with it. We further got to hear Mark McGowan talk about his life post politics and the economic growth opportunities in store for Rockingham and Kwinana.
