At a time when the CISO’s role is being hit with the double whammy of increased security threats and growing regulatory burden, many are suggesting the role should be split. This was a topic of discussion at the recent #CyberConMelbourne2024. Add to that, some CISO’s are being asked to become CSO’s and take on ownership of physical infrastructure as well. Surely something has to give? What do you think?

A busy month in the world of Cybersecurity. At a time when the Chinese appear to be doubling down in their attacks globally on major infrastructure the Australian Government are introducing more legislation. One has to wonder if organisations would be better spending their time combating attacks in the cyber war or submitting paperwork to the government. Net benefit?
