  • We're thrilled to announce that we are one of the sponsors of The Bridge Art Prize 2025! It's an exciting new community collaboration between Derwent Valley Arts, McConnell Dowell, and its partner businesses currently building the New Bridgewater Bridge. We were asked a bit about why we're sponsoring the prize, see what we had to say below: Why are you sponsoring The Bridge Art Prize? Rapid Supply are all about Tassie-owned innovation. Supporting our local community and thinking outside the box to deliver reliable and consistent service for our customers are core values of our business, and we feel the Bridge Art Prize is the same. By sponsoring the prize, we feel we’re doing our part to support the next generation of creators to bring even bigger projects to life, both in the arts space and within Tasmanian infrastructure as a whole. We’ve been working with McConnell Dowell and other local contractors with supplied goods and uniforms for this project for some time now, and we’re excited to get involved further when it comes to creative exercises surrounding the bridge. What do you personally hope to see coming out of The Bridge Art Prize? More creators who are inspired by the local area and infrastructure projects. The bridge is our largest ever transport infrastructure project and will change the way people move about, and we would love to see people who are as excited about that as we are. Getting out and creating art in the local area and around the bridge itself will bring a new wave of education to those who didn’t know much about the project, and will inspire people to think creatively in their own lives and careers to bring about improvements to varied areas of the Tasmania. Seeing the bridge through so many sets of eyes will only create more positive changes in the state. What is exciting to you about The Bridge Art Prize? What isn’t? We are excited to see local Tassie contractors working to change the transport game, and excited to see Tasmanians challenge themselves and explore their own connections to the bridge. We’re keen to see what the bridge inspires within people, and hopefully, our local youth getting involved and forming new connections to the things that help us run smoothly in our daily lives. Raising funds for youth art projects is also a huge bonus, and something we’re proud to be a part of. Want to learn more? Head to: https://lnkd.in/gN3h7xbs
