Exciting news! RCYCL is now an official supporter of Seamless, Australia’s clothing stewardship scheme, and we’re thrilled to be the first initiative featured in the Seamless RE:THINK Program. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to make recycling clothes as intuitive as buying new ones. By collaborating with THE ICONIC and Salvos Stores, we’re shortening the pathways to accessible textile recycling, encouraging consumers to think about recycling and donations each time they shop. We are proud to be part of this movement. Stay tuned for updates on our journey toward a more sustainable future. #CircularEconomy #SustainableFashion #recycle

Thanks Australian Fashion Council (AFC) for hosting RCYCL at the Melbourne member forum. It’s always inspiring to collaborate with industry partners to lay the groundwork for what’s next in fashion.
Yesterday, AFC members gathered together for the Member Forums in Melbourne, supported by #MelbourneFashionWeek. We heard members voice their perspective across the AFCs four key impact areas: Local Manufacturing, Jobs & Skills, Commerce & Trade, and Sustainability. We then layed the groundwork for the Australian Manufacturing Strategy. Members spoke about advocacy and policy to create a thriving manufacturing sector, the importance of education and training and what industry commitments are necessary to drive the industry forward. We need an industry enabled by technology, with clear pathways & connected materials. We’re excited to share the insights and strategies developed from these forums soon! #AFCMembers #AustralianFashion #LocalManufacturing #Sustainability #JobsAndSkills #CommerceAndTrade Jaana Quaintance-James City of Melbourne Alida Milani Amme RCYCL Clothing The Gaps Sarah Sheridan Hello Tailr Sunset Lover Melanie Flintoft Dean Flintoft Fashion Equipped Elizabeth Formosa (Cassar) Kloke Amy Gallagher (Coombes) Marnie Goding ELK Hanh Le Denimsmith Sharon Betteridge Anna-Louise Howard Farm To Hanger Julian Collins ABMT Textiles Ralph Bonadio Topknit Fabrics RBPATTERNS Glen ROLLASON Scott Bowring Assembled Threads Edwina Walsh Robinson Man Tina Barghout T-Shirt Oz Sam Rayner Mandi Barton Dewi Cooke The Social Studio Organization

Our founder Belinda Paul recently had the pleasure of speaking at the Deakin Fibres Symposium. Deakin’s Research Hub for Future Fibres is doing amazing work advancing sustainable fibre technologies. Their vision of creating impactful solutions that can redefine industry standards really aligns with the path we’re on at RCYCL. Looking forward to seeing where these innovations lead!
Ever wondered what happens to clothing that gets thrown into landfill? What happens to our textiles when they're left to detoriate, and how long does it really take? ♻️ Join us this week for 3MT® Thursdays with Institute for Frontier Materials, Deakin University researcher Rangi De Zoysa, who's investigating the impact that chemicals and dyes have on textiles during the composting process ♻️ To learn more about our impact in the world of research, head to: https://deakin.au/research.
