✨ 🏆 The Support Star 2024 is here! 🏆 ✨ Something we’re especially proud of is the incredible support team at Reckon. These champions are on the phone with our customers every workday, helping them find solutions and getting the most value out of their experience with Reckon. This year, we’ve had an exceptional roster of teammates win Support Star of the Month — a testament to their hard work, dedication, and commitment to our customers. The monthly winners include Alexander McKeown (3-time winner!), Karren Labrador, Tanvi Kataria, Jason Zhu, and Lucas Andrews. Choosing an overall winner was difficult, but one eventually stood out: Nick Iu! This year, Nick deftly used his expertise, professionalism, and excellent attitude to help customers and solve problems. His initiative and support were exemplary, and we couldn’t be prouder of all he’s achieved. “I am incredibly proud of Nick’s achievements this year,” says Technical Support Team Leader Tomas Cotter. “He truly deserves this recognition, and we are fortunate to have him on our team. Congratulations, Nick, on this well-earned honour!”

Reckon is proud to announce that we’ve newly acquired Cashflow Manager and okke accounting solutions from the Money Management Group 💸 As a leading accounting and payroll software provider in Australia, this move reinforces our commitment to serving the small business market and delivering excellent solutions to meet the needs of Australian small business owners. Cashflow Manager has over 20,000 clients and 1,000 accounting and bookkeeping partners in its network, and Reckon CEO Sam Allert says he couldn’t be more keen to welcome them into the Reckon family. “It is an ideal match for us to acquire and bring them into the Reckon Group,” explains Allert. “Money Management Group has run a high-quality and profitable business for many years with Cashflow Manager and, more recently okke, and has focused on supporting their SME clients and partners. “We will continue to support Cashflow Manager customers, as we support all our desktop users, as we work with them over the next few years on the perfect time to upgrade to our cloud-based solution.” Congratulations teams! What a way to end 2024 💪 Read the full release here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gi5g_g2T

How’s this for out-of-the-box thinking? 💡 Instead of a company culture video, we made a mockumentary. Concepts like “corporate culture” and “accounting software” can be fairly tedious and dull — but that genuinely isn’t the vibe of Reckon. “Stuff like that tends to turn off my brain,” says Content & Social Media Manager Evlin DuBose, one of our new hires in 2024. “But instead of a pedantic office where fun goes to die, I came into Reckon and found it has bags of personality. Not only is it funny, but it’s also wonderfully inclusive, warm, and creative. It isn’t the typical workplace you’d expect from an accounting and payroll company, and so many people worked hard to make it that way.” So, when tasked with creating our next company culture videos, Evlin set to work finding ways to show the spirit of Reckon. Now, we have something as unique, tongue-in-cheek, and sincere as we are. “Part mocko. Part doco. All Reckon,” she says. This effort was a labour of love from so many people, including a fantastic cast of Reckon employees (led by Head of Engineering Lachlan Yates) and behind-the-scenes elves at the People & Culture and Marketing teams; they all made our North Sydney office look like home. Special thanks to the marvellous team at Visual Domain for the professional quality, too 👏🎬 Director Annabel Barratt cooked with this one. Check it out! 👉 https://lnkd.in/g48CSjuD

Perth, you are indescribably beautiful and fun ✨Thanks for coming out to our final Reckonnect for the year! “Some would say we saved the best till last,” says Partner Engagement Manager Andrew Hellier. “It was a very lively event at the historic Royal Perth Hotel where we had the pleasure of Reckonnecting with over 50 of our much-loved Western Australian partners. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing many of our Reckon partners for many years, so it was amazing to see our WA partner family again and talk more about our exciting growth plans for 2025.” And with that, our amazing tour of Australia’s capital cities comes to an end…until next year! 😉 Check out the snaps below 📸

Our cross-country odyssey continues with Reckonnect Adelaide! The South Australian partners came out in full force this week for an incredible night of catch-ups, updates, and networking. (Not to mention nachos! 😋) “It's always fantastic to catch up with our established Reckon Partners as well as meet our newer partners," says Reckon GM Alex Alexandrou. “It's a pleasure to be able to get together and celebrate 2024 and share our exciting new features and plans for 2025 and beyond. Our partners are part of the Reckon family, and their success is our success.” Thanks to Beam for sponsoring the event!

This is an update six months in the making 👏 Listening to customers is a hallmark of Reckon's service. We heard feedback about the challenges of switching between our accounting and payroll products, so we assembled an incredible team to solve the problem. Now, our two flagships have been rolled into a single fabulous package in Reckon One ✨ Behind the scenes, our tech team worked tirelessly to make this change happen. “Development is a huge team of moving cogs,” says Product Manager Iftikhar Chowdhury. “All the cogs have to click and move in the same direction—for six months straight. I’m very proud of what the team accomplished.” Of course, there are some superstars to name. Ifti, Andre Casaclang, and Valentina Li went through all the feedback, and then Andre and Val worked on updating the design language to our new design system, Balance. Raza Jamil did the standout work of creating the architecture, selling the team on his plans, and then building it all with Zenobius J. David Cooper and Louis Taljaard came on board to handle the backend magic and fine tune the interface, while Scott Montgomerie and Jessieca Dela Rosa performed quality assurance to make a beautiful product. Knowing this was a big change for our customers, Lyndal Magee also developed a new onboarding experience to familiarise them with the new navigation and design and show them how to use Reckon One best. “The team did an incredible job by listening to our customers at multiple steps of the journey,” says Head of Research & Design Kelly Jennings. “Not only did they solve the problem of having separate products, but they also introduced our design system, Balance, into Reckon One — introducing new colours, layouts, content, and a more intuitive user experience. We’re excited to hear feedback on the latest changes!” Countless others contributed to the effort, including some amazing customers and Reckon accredited partners who volunteered to test along the way so we could improve the final offering. Thank you to everyone who helped make this new version of Reckon One possible. Congratulations: what a stunning achievement 🏆 🎉 You can read more about how we refreshed the design of Reckon One in our latest Reckon Community post from the team 👉 https://lnkd.in/geNmVbmk

Need to brainstorm 2025? Here are two things that help: physical activity and changing locations ☀️ 💪 “Our quarterly leadership off-sites help us check in with our progress and pivot to the market,” says Reckon GM Marketing Brad Stevens. “All the leaders within the organisation have a chance to share ideas, whether it’s things to start, stop, change, and present the amazing milestones we’ve already achieved this year and what’s in store for 2025.” And it doesn’t hurt if you cap off the day with lawn bowls in Coogee 😉 (Of which Brad, Tomas Cotter, and Kelly Jennings were the winners!) Here’s to 2025! 🎉

Snapshots from Reckonnect Sydney 📸 Thanks again to all the partners who came out and got involved at our latest mixer! The Green Moustache hosted our NSW partners in style, and we heard special updates from Reckon CEO Sam Allert, Reckon GM Alex Alexandrou, and Reckon Sales Team Lead Francis Benitez. It was fantastic for our support team to meet so many of our clients face-to-face for the first time. Special thanks to Beam Connect for sponsoring our Reckonnect events and to Josie Armao for speaking—with payday super on the horizon, it’s great for our partners to know that Reckon and Beam have their backs. And shout out to Aon for their amazing support and appearance 🤝 The whole crew is here. Final stops: Perth and Adelaide!
