  • In celebration of our director Sue Steele's birthday, we wanted to congratulate her on her achievements this past year! From presenting at the EveryBODY matters Musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) forum to recently being recognised at the UMERC in Kalgoorlie for her 30 years of dedication and contributions to Mines Rescue, Sue's leadership, passion, and unwavering commitment is truly inspiring. Here's to another year of making a difference.

  • Western Australia is a leader in the mining industry and a hub for innovation and excellence in new technologies. Last week our team seized the opportunity to attend the WA Mining Conference & Exhibition at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event effectively combined the innovation and research ecosystem with a focus on social and environmental standards, promoting a more sustainable mining industry. For our team, it was invaluable to engage with other industry leaders and business owners on topics that resonate with our mission: “To shape the future of health services through a practical, hands-on approach, industry expertise, operational efficiency, and passion.”

  • Today marks World Mental Health Day, focusing on mental health in the workplace with the theme: "It's Time to Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace." At Red Earth Health Solutions, we celebrate the meaningful connections we forge every day at work as a way to enhance mental health and well-being. Whether these connections are with colleagues in the office, on-site, with those we support through our health programs, or participants in our training sessions, they play a vital role in our mental well-being. These connections can significantly influence our mental health. They provide a sense of purpose, boost self-esteem, and foster opportunities for social interaction. However, they can also contribute to stress and anxiety, potentially exacerbating mental health challenges. Recognising how our workplace supports mental health is crucial for maximizing the benefits of work while minimizing its negative effects. Creating a mentally healthy workplace involves various initiatives, from offering staff training on mental health to addressing issues like discrimination and bullying. Open conversations about mental health are essential to fostering this environment. While discussions about mental health in the workplace are becoming more common, stigma still surrounds severe mental health issues. This indicates that further efforts are needed to combat mental health stigma in our work environments. By raising awareness about mental health and well-being in our workplace, we are reinforcing these meaningful connections and ensuring they truly make a difference.
