We were delighted to once again work with The Torch and artist Ash Thomas to create a new design for our RAP polo – inspired by Reece’s connection to water and Ash’s culture.

Earlier this month our team members had a great time supporting the Clontarf Foundation State of Origin Carnival in Melbourne. From umpiring to running water to the boys – our team was put to the test. There was some outstanding footy on display. Each young man representing their state was selected for their performance both on and off the field. In addition to being great footy players, these students also demonstrated excellent school attendance, leadership and overall commitment to their schooling throughout the year. Congratulations to the WA team who were the overall winners and well done to all involved!

We often take for granted our ability to access toilets in safe spaces – at home, work or our local shopping centre. Today is #WorldToiletDay and the theme is “toilets are a place for peace”. Access to safe sanitation facilities is a basic human right. Despite this, 3.5 billion people still live without safely managed sanitation, including safe toilet access. (World Health Organization/UNICEF).    Access to trade skills is also an issue in many parts of the world, even at home in Australia. The #ReeceFoundation is working alongside trade volunteers and community partners to change this. Over the course of 2023, Reece Foundation volunteer tradies installed 40 new toilets in communities across Australia, Africa, and Asia.    Without trade skills, we don’t have safe sanitation. We’re so grateful to all the tradies who have used their skills to help change this trend. Over the course of two weeks, 13 incredible trade volunteers worked in collaboration with Mimal Land Management (Mimal), IWSH Foundation (International Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Foundation) and the #ReeceFoundation, to install four rainwater tanks, a water treatment solution to access bore water on site, and kilometres of water infrastructure to provide safe, reliable drinking water to the Mimal Ranger Base. The water solution was co-designed with Mimal to ensure it met the needs of the community and supported the ambitions of their Healthy Country Plan. Safe clean drinking water is important for every community to thrive.
