We are incredibly proud of our long-term partnership with Melbourne Polytechnic. Through this collaboration, we’re able to play a key role in educating students on recycling, the circular economy, and supporting vital research on recycled materials. Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming delegates from universities in Indonesia. It was a pleasure to showcase our resource recovery precinct and demonstrate how we recover resource and give them new life. It's inspiring to showcase our efforts to an international audience and show how our collective efforts are making a positive impact.

Last night our Chief Commercial Officer John McCluskey and our Senior Brand and Marketing Manager Erin Ford represented Repurpose It at the Australian-Made Recovered Resources Showcase at Parliament House Canberra. This was a significant opportunity to talk to government officials about the importance of resource recovery and utilising recycled materials. Thanks to Rick Ralph from the National Waste & Recycling Industry Council and Suzanne Toumbourou from Australian Council of Recycling (ACOR) for arranging this vital event and recognising the innovative solutions that are happening in Australia. We look forward to continuing to work together to create a more sustainable Australia.

A huge thank you to ecologiQ for all the fantastic activities during Greener Infrastructure Week! Yesterday Erin Ford, George Loutsis and Thomas Fox hosted members of the industry at our Epping Resource Recovery precinct.  These tours were designed to showcase cutting-edge practices in sustainability, use of recycled and reused materials, and innovative design. We loved showing guests how we use Australian first technology to reduce waste, increase recycling and drive Australia towards a circular economy. Guests then attended the M80 Ring Road site compound where they were able to see what’s possible with recycled materials. The team was there to talk about how we can take excavation spoil and turn it into high quality construction materials. Mafi Pulu and Thomas Anton joined another tour where they visited the Keon Parade ‘Recycled First precinct’ which was built using sustainable products including Repurpose It materials. Thank you to all who participated – we’re proud to be part of a movement driving real change in infrastructure and sustainability. We look forward to seeing even more innovative, sustainable ideas put into action

During Planet Ark National Recycling Week, it's even more important to highlight how through recycling we can value every resource and reduce waste. Here are Repurpose It, we love hosting on-site tours and showcasing how we're leading the way in resource recovery. Earlier this week, we hosted members from the Intelligent Water Networks (IWN), a group with a purpose to be a catalyst for the transformation of the water industry. It was a fantastic opportunity to talk about how we can drive positive change though our sustainable products and resource recovery solutions. Thanks so much for joining us Intelligent Water Networks!

It’s National Recycling Week! What better way to explore the concept of recycling than through the organics recycling process. From FOGO waste (Food Organics Garden Organics) to compost for future plants! So great to be a part of a collaborative project that intersects community, waste reduction, resource recovery and education. To the wonderful teaching and learning teams at Gilgai Plains Primary School, thank you for fostering the next generation of environmental stewards through hands on, localised experiences like this all in working bee. The opportunity to engage with this wonderful school could not have been possible without the tireless work of the Good360 Australia team. We’re excited to be on this environmental journey with the next generation of innovative environmental scientists, horticulturalists and landscapers. https://lnkd.in/gysw_-rS

It was a pleasure to attend the ecologiQ Greener Infrastructure Week Industry Lunch yesterday. This event was delivered by ecologiQ in partnership with Civil Contractors Federation Victoria - CCF Vic. It was so great to hear insights from the industry. Some key take outs for our team were: - Global waste is projected to rise 70% by 2050 - Global raw material extraction is projected to double by 2060 This shows the importance of recycling and the circular economy to help us build more sustainable infrastructure in the future. John Thwaites, the Chair of the Circular Economy Ministerial Advisory Group spoke about the importance of connecting innovative products to customers through organisations such as ecologiQ. At Repurpose It we are proud to be at the forefront of innovation where we challenge ourselves everyday to find more sustainable options for our customers. Thanks also to Lisa Kinross, GAICD, MComm, MOL, CEO of CCF Victoria and Kevin Devlin, Director General, Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority, for sharing their valuable insights. We look forward to the rest of the activity ecologiQ is hosting this week.

It’s National Recycling Week! From one recycler to another! Shoutout to Recycling Victoria for getting the CDS (Container Deposit Scheme) live and active down here in Victoria. As an organics, construction and demolition recycling facility we can’t recycle containers at our site, however we understand the importance of resource recovery to reduce the environmental strain on finite materials. We’re also grateful for the collaboration and efforts our partners over at Foodbank Australia do in the community day in and day out. What better way to support significant recycling efforts and community engagement than intersecting the two together. #CDS #communitydonation Congrats to Planet Ark for embedding this important resource recovery process into the national program.
