Spooner MRICS certainly does – after becoming a chartered surveyor it was one of the big influences that led to him setting up the Anglo Danish Maritime Archaeological Team (ADMAT). Now, when he’s not managing 1.6m ft2 of campus at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Simon is surveying shipwrecks in the Caribbean with a team of volunteers who all have a passion for maritime heritage.
