Recently, Rokon had the privilege of attending the Women in Civil Brunch hosted by Civil Contractors Federation Victoria - CCF Vic. It was a wonderful morning where some of our talented women from Sites, Operations, Safety, and Office Support, joined by a few of our male colleagues, came together to share the experience. Our very own Steve Traicevski also attended in his role as Board Member of CCF Vic, underscoring our commitment to this important cause. The theme, "This is my story," echoed throughout the event, celebrating the unique journeys of each attendee. At Rokon, we view these stories not only as personal narratives but as powerful connections that build a strong sense of community and belonging. This theme truly embodied the spirit of last week’s gathering. Aligned with CCF Victoria's mission, Rokon remains dedicated to empowering women in the civil construction industry. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and are excited to continue moving forward on this journey. www.rokon.com.au #WomenInCivil #Empowerment #DiversityInConstruction #RokonTeam #BuildingCommunity

We want to take a moment to recognise Jayson and Eddiemar, our skilled mechanics from the Philippines, who have been with Rokon here in Australia for over a year now! Their hard work, expertise, and commitment have been invaluable to our team, and we couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve achieved. Beyond their professional contributions, they’ve become an integral part of the Rokon family. We’re pleased to say that Jayson is embarking on the next big step of bringing his family over to Australia. We hope to welcome Jayson's loved ones to their new home very soon. Here’s to many more years of success, growth, and opportunities! Our team recently wrapped up an incredible training session with CJD Equipment that gave them a crystal-clear understanding of our equipment! From operational functions to maintenance tips, our team feels confident in handling these machines like pros. The hands-on demos were a huge hit, giving our operators the chance to dive into real-world scenarios and get comfortable with the machines firsthand. CJD Trainers Phil and Matt showcased their extensive knowledge, answering all our questions with detailed insights and practical tips to optimise equipment use. We appreciate their ongoing support and readiness to assist with any follow-up queries. Overall, this training has significantly boosted our team’s confidence and preparedness to operate and maintain the machines efficiently. Thank you again CJD for your excellent support in making this transition as smooth as possible! www.rokon.com.au #Rokon #CivilConstruction #VolvoA45G #OperatorTraining #EquipmentOptimisation

Not one, not two, but three AFL legends! We were so fortunate to have John Platten join us in Amaroo for our Mind Your Mates Day BBQ! He reminded us that civil construction is a team sport, and it’s our duty to look after our mates and colleagues. John encouraged everyone to speak up and check in on those around us – don’t hesitate to ask how someone is doing. Your support can truly make a difference. He also emphasised the seriousness of concussion and how it can affect our mood after a hit. Being mindful of our well-being is crucial in our industry. It was so good having another AFL legend, Dougie Hawkins, join us in Windermere for our Mind Your Mates Day BBQ! His stories had us on the edge of our seats and he highlighted the importance of team culture, not just in footy, but in our everyday lives with mates and colleagues. Dougie reminded us to always check in on those around us – even if they seem fine on the surface. You never know what someone might be dealing with behind closed doors, especially in industries like ours where bravado can sometimes overshadow genuine connection. And let’s not forget: life is short, so it’s essential to give it your best and enjoy the ride! How good was it having AFL legend, Michael Tuck, kicking off Rokon's Mind Your Mates Day BBQ at Greenlinks! His inspiring words reminded us that prioritising our own well-being is not just important, but necessary. 'Tucky' emphasised that it’s perfectly okay to take time for ourselves and do the things we love. He also encouraged us to reach out and talk to our team mates – there’s always someone ready to listen. Remember, it’s okay to speak up and ask for help. Together, we can create a workplace where everyone feels valued and heard. Swipe to see highlights from the day and stay tuned for more updates as we continue this important conversation! www.rokon.com.au #Rokon #MindYourMates #MentalHealthMatters #SupportEachOther

Diversified we grow! At Rokon, we’ve learned that diversity doesn't just come in the forms we expect – it can show up in the most surprising and impactful ways. Diverse teams push us to think differently and deliver better outcomes. It’s those unexpected moments where someone’s unique perspective sparks a solution that reminds us why diversity matters so much. Diversity isn’t just about visible differences either. It’s about embracing different ways of thinking, working, and connecting with others. At Rokon, we believe in giving back and creating opportunities for all. Whether you're a part of our organisation or in our local communities, you matter to us. Recently, we had the chance to give back in a new way by donating a number of our preloved computers and laptops to Computerbank Victoria Incorporated a fantastic organisation run entirely by volunteers who are dedicated to providing affordable technology to those who would be unable to access it otherwise. In today’s world, digital access is essential for education, job opportunities, and staying connected. By giving our tech a second life, we hope to enable Computerbank Victoria Incorporated clients to achieve more. This is just one of the ways we’re committed to giving back and making a difference beyond the civil construction industry. Thanks to our IT team for all their efforts to get the hardware ready for donation, and to the volunteers Computerbank Victoria Incorporated We love what you do! www.rokon.au #RokonGiving #Computerbank #DigitalAccess #CommunitySupport #TechnologyForAll #Sustainability #GivingBack #CivilConstructionCommunity #StrongerTogether

Safety First isn’t just a motto at Rokon – it’s a core value that drives everything we do. Recently, we held a workshop for our Senior Managers and HSEQ Team, focused on refreshing and enhancing our skills in Mobile Plant Risk Assessment. This training is crucial for improving our ability to manage plant risk assessments and ensure a safer work environment. Facilitated by the Civil Contractors Federation Victoria - CCF Vic, the workshop equipped our team with the latest knowledge and strategies to better identify hazards and manage risks associated with mobile plant operations. By investing in this training, we’re reinforcing our dedication to the highest safety standards and continuously improving our practices for the well-being of our team and the success of our projects. www.rokon.com.au #RokonSafetyFirst #CivilContractorsFederationVictoria #PlantRiskManagement #ContinuousImprovement #SafetyFirst #CivilConstructionExcellence #HSEQ #StrongerTogether
