Four young sailors from Fiji are proudly competing at the 2025 Misto Australian Optimist Dinghy Championship in Brisbane, Australia. The event started on Sunday and will finish on Friday, January 17. This is a big moment for Kele Hunter (15), Paul Haynes (13), Malia Sukanavanua (13), and Ayana Hussain (13), who are making their international debut. The team was selected after the Fiji National Sailing Championships. According to Vili Ratulu who represented Fiji at the 2024 Olympic Games and is a development officer for the Fiji Yachting Association (FYA), the selection also depended on whether the sailors could help cover some of the costs. RQYS is proud to welcome the Fijiian team to Brisbane! Tourism and Events Queensland Queensland Tourism Industry Council Fiji Yachting Association Fiji Airways
