For those living in rural and remote communities, screening for cervical cancer presents challenges. The great news is that now with access to vaccination and in-home screening, there is a greater chance of early detection and prevention of cervical cancer. On Remembrance Day, we honour those who have served in war and those who have made the pledge to defend their country. We acknowledge those who travelled from rural and remote communities to answer the call to serve. We thank those with medical training who used their skills to ease the suffering of those on the battlefield, and when they returned home. Today, we share the story of Dr Michael Clements, who served as a doctor in the Australian Defence Force.
