Join us in paying tribute the essential role of school libraries, library staff and the contributions SCIS has made over four decades. Thank you to our extraordinary community of users, as well as all the current and former SCIS staff who've made the last 40 years possible. • We’re proudly a part of Education Services Australia (ESA). A not-for-profit, ministeriallly owned company that strives to make a difference in the lives and learning of Australian students. Discover ESA’s achievements and initiatives in the 2024 Impact Report.

In 2024, SCIS Data celebrated its 40th year supporting school libraries. 📚 SCIS has added 40,000 new catalogue records, including over 11,000 directly requested by schools. 📝 94% of surveyed SCIS users rated its catalogue records as extremely or very valuable. 💻 There were over 32 million downloads of SCIS records. We have seen significant progress and impact and the numbers only tell part of the story. At its core, our work is about people – educators, students, families – who are better supported, more inspired and more prepared to thrive because of what ESA makes possible. • Thank you to the schools and vendors of library management systems that participated in this year’s Educational Lending Rights School Library Survey. Over the past 2 months, ESA has been collecting and collating data from across the county, to ensure the Australian Government can fairly compensate creators of Australian book content for the free use of their books in our school libraries. This week, we’re excited to draw our survey competition winners—one recipient of a gift card and two recipients of book packs. Be sure to check your email to find out if you're a winner!
