In the last two years, we have helped 500+ founders across Australia and have worked with ecosystem leaders such as Startmate, TechStars, Tractor Ventures, Thinclab, and Launch Vic. We offer fractional sales leadership, sales playbook development and coaching, and workshops.     It had been a long time coming but, on this week's episode of scalr sagecast, I finally got to chat with Sean Grealy from SellAnything. Sean’s flair for business started young. Despite coming from a blue-collar family and initially considering a painting apprenticeship, he always seemed destined to become an entrepreneur. His first venture? Selling soft drinks from his school locker during recess at high school - a clear sign he was destined to build something of his own! That instinct led him to start his first business in 2016, after being mentored by the owner of the bike shop where he worked during his studies. Now, through SellAnything, Sean is focused on helping start-ups establish the right foundations to give them the best chance of success in the Australian market. What stood out most in our conversation was Sean’s practical, no-nonsense approach to business. He understands that entrepreneurship isn’t just about ideas—it’s about execution, resilience and learning from experience.     New things loading 🛠️ I set out with this intention in 2022 and as patient as I am stubborn have waited until we earnt the right to build Australia’s first B2B SaaS Sales Accelerator. I firmly believe you earn the right by… Getting the reps in. Learning from your customer. Over delivering extreme value. Building an undeniable market you love solving problems for. Showing up day after day no matter what. These last few weeks have had me busy on the tools completing first rounds of Founder applications and making first sales. The hunger and calibre of founders are second to none. Each call I’m leaving with more more energy than the last because there’s no joy like chopping it up with founders and sellers growing $0-$1m. If you want to build repeatable sales processes, increase ACV’s, shorten sales cycles and take control of your deals this is for you. Most founders leave sales as an after thought of completing an MVP but if you are going 0-1, 1-10 or beyond the best time to start upskilling and building your processes is now.     I am ecstatic to announce next year, we launch Australia’s first $0-$1m Sales Accelerator in partnership with the University of Adelaide, ThincLab and Zrinka Tokic. This has been a tough secret for me to hold onto and is the culmination of two years coaching ThincLab founders, working with startups all around Australia, and testing this big idea in pilot format this year. The Sales Accelerator ‘ThincSales’ was officially announced last week by Noel Lindsay at the Australian eChallenge awards night, where innovators, founders, sponsors, and ecosystem leaders celebrated in the Sky City ballroom. I refer to ThincLab as the sleeping giant in our ecosystem. They have been chipping away for years, with alumni heading to Startmate, Techstars, raising 100's of millions in capital, and even exiting. This next giant move is another moment to reflect on not only how much ThincLab and eChallenge do for entrepreneurs in South Australia but also what this means for founders. Founders will have access to a 5-week program on selling their disruptive tech. For the first time, we will be bringing to life a sales playbook for each founder, helping craft their process from lead-in to demo and negotiation, all whilst working on their businesses from ThincLab. This is also a signal to the market. The new era of B2B founder-led sales is here. Australians sell, buy and build differently to the US. Investors want founders leading sales, founders want to grow revenue-generating businesses and support beyond raising, and customers want great experiences. This program will make founders: ▪️ More investible ▪️ Increase valuations ▪️ Drive real momentum in market ▪️ Develop deep skill sets to scale their business As an eChallenge and ThincLab alumni, it gives me obscene joy to be able to deliver this first program with a community that has supported me and Sell Anything since day 1. It was a real mind blowing moment walking into the ball room and seeing our brand next to heavy hitters like Stone and Chalk, KPMG and Sweat. Togetherwill be supporting founders just like Savannah, Founder of Typpio, who took out first place at eChallenge last week and has landed a spot straight into the accelerator alongside some other amazing prizes.
