Pay What it Takes (PWIT) is an initaitive committed to understanding what it actually takes to create impact and paying for it. We've been supporting a diverse team of experts to co-design PWIT principles and guidelines to translate the research into action. Until we asked a cheeky question and. Well. Here it is!! # our makeshift centre backs on to the Macleay Valley Country University Centre (CUC) giving us a wonderful opportunity to partner with the CUC and advocate for an expansion as we demonstrate how amazing this space is when activated. # we are located right in the heart of the town meaning we can send delegates to 11 different local cafes for lunch on two days (and shop along the way). # we get to play with possibility and show others they can too. 🌟 Reflecting on the last few days at #changefest24 has been nothing short of inspiring! Surrounded by incredible leaders, I've experienced a rollercoaster of emotions – from challenge to joy and everything in between. Huge congratulations and gratitude to the Elders of Latji Latji country and the neighbouring Barkinji for enabling this meaningful gathering to happen. And to Connected Beginnings Mildura Hands Up Mallee and Collaboration for Impact for orchestrating such an impactful event! One of the highlights for me has been the opportunity to be with leaders such as May Miller-Dawkins, Ruth McCausland, Anna Powell, and Annabel Brown, that I met at Oxfam Australia, many moons ago who continue to impress with their strategic prowess. It's a privilege to witness them in action, standing tall in their power. Moreover, seeing familiar faces like Mark Yettica-Paulson has reignited memories of my journey, especially my time at Oxfam Australia. Back then, luminaries like Jeremy Hobbs and Andrew Hewitt laid the groundwork for future leaders, fostering an environment of trust and empowerment by creating space and attempting to get out of the way. Their mentorship enabled us to flourish and make a difference. As I reflect on these experiences, and recognise that many other Oxfam alumni feature in various aspects of my current work. I’m thinking of you Sally McGeoch, Sofiah Mackay and Jen Riley; my most significant learning is the importance of connection, community, and coaching in shaping leaders. Let's continue to support and empower the next generation of changemakers by remembering that sometimes leadership is the act of getting out of the way of those who are coming through the ranks to challenge your status quo! #leadership #community #connection #coaching #reflectivepractice
