  • So happy to announce that yesterday was the first day of our ‘bridging intergenerational gaps’ workshop. We had a lovely turnout, where participants were engrossed in meaningful conversation, sparking competition in the scavenger hunt, and enjoying good food. Insights from immigrants of different ages was incredibly thought-provoking, where the safe environment allowed everyone to open up about issues they struggled with, and commonalities to bond over. So excited for the next workshop! This project is taking place in collaboration with Helping ACT and Cafe Stepping Stone. Thanks so much for your support.

"Bridging Intergenerational Gaps" – what a wonderful gathering hosted by SiTara’s Story, dedicated to empowering and supporting Culturally and linguistically diverse communities. This event is part of a series of fun and engaging workshops designed to bridge the gap between cultures and generations. It was a privilege to connect with incredible women whose stories of resilience, strength, and cultural richness continue to inspire. Thank you to the organisers and everyone who participated in these meaningful conversations. At Mental Illness Education ACT (MIEACT) we believe that creating safe spaces where diverse voices are heard and celebrated makes all the difference! #Community #Diversity #Inclusion #SiTarasStory #Empowerment #CulturalConnection #mentalhealth

Feeling so honoured, and excited to lead such a vital project for overcoming the intergenerational gaps, and disconnect within the migrant community. Thanks so much SiTara's Story for giving me a platform to help increase awareness, and HelpingACT for their collaboration.

We are very excited about our collaboration with Helping ACT. Since we started our work with multicultural families in-order to minimise the intergenerational gap in multicultural families, first thing we did was to listen to them. We have conducted focus groups discussions, made mini documentaries, conducted one to one interview and surveys resulting in a report. Now it’s time for some final action. This project will be a great impact making program to bridge the cultural gap in multicultural families. Meet our project coordinator Fatima Waqar and Mohammed Ali, Helping ACT. Watch the space.
