💡 What if everything we thought we knew about charity was wrong? Last week, Social Impact Hub hosted a screening at Australian Parliament House of the Uncharitable Movie — a film that challenges the status quo of the nonprofit sector and asks: Why do we expect charities to solve the world’s biggest problems while restricting their ability to grow, innovate, or even pay competitive salaries? 🎤 With over 80 leaders from across the nonprofit and government sectors, we dove into the urgent conversation this film demands. Thank you to our incredible speakers, The Hon. Dr Andrew Leigh MP, Susan Helyar, Jeremy Halcrow, and our host, Jessica Mendoza-Roth. Thank you also to our collaborators: ACT Council Of Social Service (ACTCOSS), The Benevolent Society and Helyar & Co.
