About us

Founded in 2022 by two mates from Melbourne, Sorciety was born from the desire and well-researched need to provide the recruitment industry with a partner that they can trust and rely on. Having been part of this industry for over 15 years we believe that it is time for transformation in our thriving industry. We focus on: - Placing Recruiters into Agency and Talent Acquisition roles - Training & Development for Recruiters Graduate & Rookie Recruitment All of our Rookie/Graduate Recruiters are presented to Clients with a their Resume, Video Introduction and Psychometric Testing around Sales Style, Verbal and Numerical Reasoning and Emotional Intelligence. Recruitment Training All of our training is delivered in a group setting. We find having recruiters from a range of different agencies at a similar experience level, allows consultants to share ideas and knowledge. We have 4 tailored course currently available: 360 - For recruiters with at least 6 months experience Scale - For Recruitment Agency Founders looking to attract, hire and retain talent to their business.     This week has been a massive one for Sorciety............ Maybe the warm winter weather in Melbourne has everyone up and about but there is a lot of positivity going around and it is infectious! Few trends starting to emerge this week - ✅ Positive outlook for the end of the year and 2025 ✅ Lots of agencies looking to build and grow new teams & divisions ✅ Agencies still struggling to hire for themselves and with that more briefs opening up for junior recruiters and recruiters coming from Overseas It's going to get competitive out there very very soon. If you are an agency - get a move on. If you are a recruiter - you have a few weeks to get a new role to start this year. In a few weeks you will be where you are until the new year. Here is to getting back to the glory days and seeing the last of the conditions we've had in 2024! ✌

    So, You want to bill an extra 100K in the next 12 months?👊 The good news is that anyone can do it. You don't even need any new tactic or strategy, You don’t even need any new piece of recruitment software.  All you need to do is be proactive with your candidates and float them. That’s all you have to do. Just get back to basics and do the 1%ers.  Now I know people will start saying things along the lines of “ It’s a hard market,  job flow is down” which it is, but remember strong A grade candidates always find jobs. Most if not all your clients want to know about them and if they are available. Get in contact with your clients, call them, text them, email them, just make sure they know about the candidate you have available.  📲 Make sure you discuss their achievements and how they can add value to your client (don’t just read their resume back to them), create some urgency with your client and more often than not they will interview the candidate. If not, well at least you have demonstrated value to clients by showing them your understanding of the sector and giving yourself some more credibility in front of them for next time. Now time for some quick maths. With an average fee of $15K, making an extra 1.5 placements  per quarter will equate to an extra $100K in billings. For most of you in agency land - that’s about an extra 30K in your pocket each year. 💰💰 It can be that easy!!     I got of of my hoodie and braved a cold and windy Collins st yesterday. I warmed up very quickly though after speaking to a few Agency owners.... It seems no matter the sector agencies are hiring and so many have a growth mindset for 2024 and 2025. Yesterday alone, we were briefed on desks in multiple sectors: Accounting & Finance Energy & Renewables Construction & Architecture Realestate & Property Marketing Sales There is no need to be hating your job right now.
