  • IES recently held Growing International, an event where international student leaders and alumni members share invaluable insights about their experiences studying and living in South Australia. It was incredible to hear firsthand about the diverse subject options offered in South Australian Government schools, the personalised approach to teaching, and the opportunities for students to specialise in areas of interest. The event also fostered meaningful discussions between students and school staff, addressing concerns and exploring new opportunities within the international education landscape. It was a great opportunity for networking, building connections, and enhancing engagement within the international school education community. #GrowingInternational #StudySouthAustralia #InternationalEducation #StudentLeadership #GlobalConnections #Networking

  • South Australia is a vibrant and diverse state that prides itself on being a multicultural hub, where people from all corners of the world come together to study, live, work, and celebrate their rich cultural heritage. The state's multiculturalism is reflected in its food, traditions, art, and everyday life, creating a dynamic atmosphere of inclusivity and shared experience. The Multicultural Festival in South Australia celebrates this diversity, offering a unique opportunity to explore the cultural richness of the community through food, music, dance, and storytelling. By embracing diversity, South Australia fosters understanding and connection, making it a place where all cultures can thrive and contribute to the state’s dynamic future. Join us in celebrating the spirit of unity and diversity at this year’s festival!   https://lnkd.in/geKh35hR

The 2024 Multicultural Festival will be bigger than ever, expanding from Tarntanyangga/Victoria Square across Reconciliation Plaza. The festival is a free family-friendly event where you can experience the world’s cultures, right in the heart of Adelaide. This year, we’re hoping to see more than 10,000 people come along to celebrate the many cultures and languages of South Australia. It has been an exciting week in Delhi, India partnering with AEAS I have had the opportunity to visit some amazing schools like K.R. Mangalam World School, Shiv Nadar School and GD Goenka School. I was impressed with each school’s facilities, the passion of their leaders and staff and, especially proud to meet with students and student leaders. A special acknowledgment to GD Goenka who’s students had done thorough research on South Australian Government Schools to be able to ask questions of depth and challenge during a panel session in front of their student peers, I was literally saved by the bell during my response! Congratulations students and staff for your enthusiasm and planning! Austrade International Education | Australian Trade and Investment Commission have also coordinated engagements with visionary principals and educational leaders at the Australian High Commission. The opportunity to build South Australian Government Schools understanding of the many qualification options across Indian schools as well as the diversity represented in each school’s governance has given me much to think about. A special thanks to Neha Grover, Pooja Iyer and their team for their market overview and facilitating sessions that have provided me with insight and valuable connections to work with. Lastly, but definitely not least, I have just finished two fantastic days with education agents, potential students and their parents, coordinated by AEAS. These days have been a testament to the opportunities presented earlier in the week. Exciting times ahead and I look forward to next week as I explore the educational landscape of Mumbai.

  • Reflecting on the Koishikawa Study Tour!🌟 Study tours offer an excellent opportunity for international students to experience the South Australian education system. We recently hosted a number of students from the Koishikawa Secondary Education School in Tokyo, Japan. And as the tour wrapped up, International Education Services hosted the representatives from Koishikawa and South Australian Government School Principals for an afternoon tea! It was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on the successful outcomes of the tour and discuss future visits. Principals were enthusiastic about the benefits of these international exchanges and expressed a strong interest in welcoming more Japanese students. Our partners are also eager to send more students from Japan to South Australian Government Schools, reinforcing the value of these global connections. We are thankful for the success of the Koishikawa study tour and the meaningful relationships it has fostered! #KoshikawaStudyTour #InternationalEducation #StudentExchange #GlobalConnections #EducationPartnerships
