Larson Dominic D Souza, one of our talented Hydraulic Engineers, was recently invited to the Boone & Willard Plumbing Christmas Party onboard the Oneworld Superyacht for a cruise around Sydney Harbour. It was not only an incredible way to celebrate the festive season but also a well-deserved reward for Larson's hard work throughout the year. A special thank you to the B&W team for recognising Larson's dedication and contribution!

At Sparks+Partners, we are fortunate to have many talented engineers with unique career journeys. Each of these stories has the potential to inspire the younger generation to pursue similar paths. Josh Frew, Senior Hydraulic Engineer, recently had the opportunity to speak with Year 9 students at St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park about niche career opportunities such as hydraulic engineering. During the session, Josh shared his own journey - from school to plumbing and eventually becoming an engineer. He also discussed the exciting projects he has worked on and answered questions from the students, particularly about the role itself and the balance between indoor and outdoor work. A big thank you to the students at St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park, for welcoming Josh and engaging so enthusiastically in learning about hydraulic engineering. We look forward to seeing many of you become engineers in the future!

Sparks+Partners recently collaborated with Boone & Willard Plumbing on the Haven House South Dowling project, part of the Property Industry Foundation's mission to combat youth homelessness. This initiative brings together the property and construction sectors to create supportive housing for homeless youth. The Haven House project features nine 2-bedroom and one 1-bedroom apartments, along with communal spaces and meeting rooms designed to foster community and support. Our Managing Director, Leon Dimino, attended a site walk-through in October to witness the project's progress firsthand. We’re proud to contribute to such a vital cause and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on young lives.
