A little humble brag. Creating and building the Unpluggered Podcast has truly been one of the greatest experiences of my life - allowing me to combine two of my loves, digital media and the St Kilda Football Club - and in my wildest dreams I never could have imagined the people we would have met, and the fun we'd have doing it each week. The list of milestones and awards our guests have achieved reads like the best of the best of V/AFL history - and that doesn't even take into account those guests who never pulled on the boots professionally but have still impacted and contribute to the game and/or our team in other ways. Not bad for a podcast we literally started by recording a phone call 6 years ago! Thank you to everyone who's been involved in this project, from my co-hosts Darren Parkin and Aaron McGrath, to our occasional and fill in guest hosts, weekly social media contributors, our special guests for sharing their stories, and of course, our audience who tune in every week, week in and week out. It's been a hell of a ride! Our sixth season is already shaping up to be our most listened to season yet, and we have plenty more stories to tell, issues to discuss, debate, celebrate and lament. It's very rare that someone comes into your orbit and is immediately welcoming and generous with their time, knowledge and experience. I've been incredibly lucky to have met and known quite a few such people, but one who I only met fairly recently and knew for only a short time was Andrew Plympton, former president of the St Kilda Football Club through a turbulent period (1993-2000) in the club's history. Not only did he have to manage a relocation and it's aftermath not once, but twice, he also dealt with the AFL's biggest name - Tony Lockett - leaving the club, a Grand Final run - and loss - for the ages, and multiple coaching changes, over his tenure in charge of the Saints. Not only did he pour his heart and soul into saving the footy club, he spent countless hours - during and since - volunteering his time and knowledge to others in footy, sport, or just business and life in general. In my experience, Andrew was a brilliant president, an excellent businessman, a great Saints man, and an even better person. He will be missed. Vale Andrew Plympton.
