It isn't easy being wheezy. 😮💨 Changes in weather can greatly impact asthma so refresh your knowledge of what to in the case of an asthma attack. 1. Follow DRSABCD St John WA Action Plan. 2. Sit the person comfortably upright. Be calm and reassuring and don’t leave the casualty alone. 3. Help the person to take 1 puff of their blue/grey reliever medication and take 4 breathes. 4. Repeat step 3 until 4 puffs of the reliever have been given – 1 puff at a time, with 4 breaths after each puff. 5. Wait 4 minutes – if the person still cannot breathe normally, give 4 more puffs as above. 6. If the person still cannot breathe normally, call Triple Zero (000) for an ambulance. 7. Keep giving 4 puffs every 4 minutes (as above) until medical aid arrives. Learn more about asthma first aid: https://lnkd.in/gyPUAQFr
