We are thrilled to announce that State Asphalt Services, a part of the Kypreos Group has been awarded Local Government Procurement Contractor of the Year! We extend our heartfelt thanks to the LGP, the award committee, and all the collaborators who worked with us on the key projects in our submission. Special thanks to Penrith City Council, Landcom, Wollondilly Shire Council, and the Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (SSROC) Inc. for their partnership and trust. We take great pride in our focus on delivering environmental and social benefits through our projects. Our Pak-Pave initiative, which recycled over 150,000 coffee cups, showcases our dedication to sustainability. Additionally, our work with Wollondilly Shire Council and SSROC led to the diversion of over 4,000 tyres from landfill—a meaningful impact on reducing waste. Thank you once again to everyone involved, and we look forward to future collaborations with councils across the region as we continue to advance sustainable infrastructure. #SustainableInfrastructure 🌱 #StateAsphaltServices #LGPContractorOfTheYear 🏆 #PavingTheFuture #CircularEconomy #CouncilPartnerships Christopher Kypreos Taz Kypreos John Kypreos

Raising the Bar for Sustainable Infrastructure We're excited to share a feature in this month’s Roads & Infrastructure Australia magazine that highlights a ground-breaking collaboration between State Asphalt Services, SAMI Bitumen Technologies John Holland and Sydney Water. Together, we've embarked on an innovative project that could set a new industry standard for sustainable materials and practices. The Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre is not just another infrastructure project; it represents a significant leap forward in sustainable construction. With a strong focus on reducing our carbon footprint, this project showcases the use of biogenic materials and innovative techniques, including the integration of SAMIGreen—a bio-based polymer modified binder developed by SAMI Bitumen Technologies. Additionally, the project features recycled cellulose fibres derived from post-consumer coffee cups, marking a significant step in our journey towards a circular economy. Over the past year, our teams have worked tirelessly to explore and implement these sustainable materials. The trial has allowed us to push the boundaries, reducing pavement thickness and lowering carbon emissions without compromising the technical integrity of the infrastructure. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and collaboration between our partners, and it highlights the importance of industry partnerships in driving innovation. The success of this trial is more than just a technical win; it’s a glimpse into the future of construction and infrastructure in Australia. As we continue to strive for net-zero targets, the insights and outcomes from this project will serve as a foundation for future sustainable developments. We’re incredibly proud of the role we’ve played in this initiative and look forward to continuing our work in advancing sustainable infrastructure.
