Management of Violence and Aggression Following the tragic events in New South Wales over the last few days, it is apparent that the threat of violence and aggression in our communities is high. Our thoughts go out to all of those involved in these events and especially to the families and friends that have lost love ones. There is generally a lack of knowledge and experience when dealing with active armed assailants whether they appear at places of worship, mass gatherings such as shopping centres or festivals or in healthcare facilities or other public crowded spaces. The majority of security staff and facility staff at these venues have very basic or nil training in dealing with events such as those witnessed in Sydney, which has the effect of increasing the time available to the assailant to continue their acts of violence. Stirling Resilience is a veteran owned business which is actively delivering tailored accredited and non-accredited training in the security, retail and government sectors.
