Distribution-connected energy generation and storage plays a critical role in strengthening grid resilience and enhancing energy efficiency, which is why we prioritise it for our solar and battery storage projects. By integrating our renewable energy systems directly into the local distribution network, we minimise transmission losses and bolster grid stability. This decentralised approach ensures that our regional solar farms and battery storage sites provide essential support to regional load centres, improving energy security and enabling faster adoption of renewable energy. Ultimately, fostering a more adaptive and sustainable energy grid that meets local demand while accelerating the transition to a low-carbon future. #SustainableFuture #SustainableEnergy #EnergyTransition #Australia #RenewableEnergy #DBESS #BatteryStorage #BESS #SolarEnergy #SouthAustralia #EVOPower EVO Power Pty Ltd

We are excited to announce the successful completion and energisation of three 5MW solar farms across regional New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia. These projects mark a significant step forward in delivering localised, clean energy solutions directly to distribution networks, enhancing regional grid resilience and supporting sustainable energy goals. Each site, now fully operational thanks to our collaboration with YES Group, is purpose-built to deliver dependable power to local communities, actively contributing to Australia’s renewable energy transition targets. #SustainableFuture #SustainableEnergy #EnergyTransition #Australia #RenewableEnergy #SolarEnergy #SouthAustralia

Since energising our first solar farm at Bowman’s in 2021, we’ve seen considerable advancements in solar technology that have allowed us to enhance energy output and system efficiencies. We’re committed to working with innovative solar technology providers to ensure optimal long-term energy generation, and one of the key integrations has been the addition of bifacial solar panels. These advanced panels capture sunlight on both the front and rear sides, increasing energy yield from reflected light. Paired with Nextracker Inc. technology, our panels actively track the sun's movement across the sky, maximising light absorption throughout the day. This synergy of bifacial panels and tracking systems strengthens our commitment to sustainable, high-efficiency energy production for years to come. #SustainableFuture #SustainableEnergy #EnergyTransition #Australia #RenewableEnergy #SolarEnergy #SouthAustralia

Last week our General Manager Justin Parker, Finance Manager Laura Cartland and Asset Manager SIVA HEMANTH attended Australia’s largest clean energy event, All Energy Australia Conference in Melbourne. It was a great opportunity to meet and talk directly with suppliers for many of our projects in EVO Power Pty Ltd, Jinko Solar Co., Ltd., Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited, as well as gain further insights into the wider energy transition in the areas of offshore wind and hydrogen. #SustainableFuture #SustainableEnergy #EnergyTransition #Australia #RenewableEnergy #SolarEnergy #WindEnergy #Hydrogen #AllEnergy

One of the key benefits battery energy storage systems (BESS) can bring to Australia’s energy transition, is their ability to improve energy efficiency. By storing excess energy during periods of low demand or high energy generation, they help address the intermittency issues associated with renewable energy sources like wind and solar, providing a stable energy supply to key locations, during periods of high demand or low generation. This reduces energy losses that typically occur during long-distance transmission and distribution. With a localised energy supply, BESS can balance supply and demand more effectively, reducing the need for additional infrastructure like new power plants or transmission lines, and ensuring more efficient energy deployment. #SustainableFuture #SustainableEnergy #EnergyTransition #Australia #RenewableEnergy #DBESS #BatteryStorage #BESS

At SEI, our team is always focused on anticipating future market needs to continue delivering renewable energy solutions across Australia. From sub-5 MW solar farms to our recent battery energy storage systems (BESS), these initiatives have been central to our success. By ensuring they are distribution-connected, we’ve streamlined the network connection process, reducing potential delays and minimising marginal and distribution loss factors. With three new solar farms that have come online in the last few weeks and construction underway on our newly acquired BESS projects, we are excited to continue supporting Australia’s energy transition targets through new renewable energy developments. Thank you to pv magazine Australia and Ev Foley for highlighting our expanding portfolio as we continue to invest in the projects essential for the broader market and the success of the energy transition. Australia continues to hit key milestones in its energy transition, with the last week of Winter 2024 recording the highest rooftop and utility-scale solar contributions for the season! South Australia notably achieved a significant feat by running on over 100% renewable energy during the same week, showcasing the growing dominance of clean energy sources in the nation's power grid. These milestones highlight Australia's continued progress toward a more sustainable and renewable energy future. Our team looks forward to continuing to play a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s renewable energy future as we expand our portfolio of sustainable energy infrastructure. #SustainableFuture #SustainableEnergy #EnergyTransition #Australia #RenewableEnergy #DBESS #BatteryStorage #BESS #SolarEnergy #SouthAustralia

There is a growing need for reliable, sustainable energy solutions that can adapt to fluctuating demands, which is why our team, in collaboration with our partners at ACLE Services Pty Ltd and ACEnergy, is hard at work bringing our seven DBESS projects online. Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) offer unique benefits, such as enhanced grid stability, increased efficiency in energy distribution, and the ability to store renewable energy for use during peak demand periods, making them crucial to the transition toward a more resilient and sustainable energy network. Our DBESS projects, spread across seven sites in regional Victoria, are a testament to our commitment to this energy transition. Each site will be directly connected to the distribution network, to provide essential support and stability to local communities near regional load centres. By integrating these systems, we are not only bolstering the reliability of the local grid but also enhancing the overall sustainability and resilience of the energy infrastructure in these areas. This mid-scale deployment underscores our dedication to pioneering energy solutions that meet the evolving needs of both the grid and the communities it serves. #SustainableFuture #SustainableEnergy #EnergyTransition #Australia #RenewableEnergy #DBESS #BatteryStorage #SolarFarm #Victoria #NetZero
